This rack is of excellent, excellent quality that is really hard to find in the residential market (particularly at this price of $135). As far as I can tell, this is built with commercial specs, and I would have no qualms about putting this thing anywhere, regardless of the amount of weight it's going to support or the amount of use it's going to get. Everything is heavy duty - the steel, the welds, and the bolts. Ironically, I almost hurt myself picking the box up, because it was so much heavier than I was anticipating. Assemble with care and ask for a friend's help, if possible! The design is great on this rack. The placement of the levels is perfect, so you can easily reach the dumbbells (on some racks, they're too close and everything is jammed together). It also helps that it looks nice (since it's going in the home) and it features a heavy duty finish that will wear well. The racks are designed for standard size dumbbells, so if you have real small weights, they might fall through. However, this can easily be rectified. I left the bottom two racks as designed, for my heavier dumbbells. On the top rack, I simply reversed the placement of the bars, so that there is a lip in the front that can hold the smaller stuff. Then I threw a couple of baskets on the top rack, which are used for holding resistance bands, very small dumbbells, headphones, etc. Yes, you WILL need some pretty hardcore sockets to put this together (17mm), but I wouldn't have it any other way. I wanted something heavy duty that would last forever and be able to support hundreds of pounds of weight without issue, as opposed to something lightweight that's easy to assemble. If you don't own the tools to assemble this, please do yourself a favor and invest in a good socket set ($50-$100). Yes, it can be done with those two adjustable wrenches you have lying in the bottom of your kitchen drawer, but it will take you all day and your wrists will hate you for it. You are presumably a homeowner if you're buying this rack, and a good socket set will be worth its weight in gold to you as you tackle projects and repairs in the future (not to mention the assembly of more gym equipment!).

This rack is made of heavy gauge steel and the hardware-bolts, nuts, washers-are also solid. I was able to torque on them with a large ratchet with no problem. Heads did not chew up and shafts did not break. Another plus is that each successively lower rack sits out from the one above so as you you reach for lower racks, you don't bump your head on the higher ones. The directions are clear and the illustrations are easy to see unlike some products were it's all a blur. I assembled myself (about 1.5 hours). I consider myself a little above average as far as using hand tools. A novice would probably do well to have a helper to hold up the cross bars while you tighten the bolts. You will need two wrenches or ratchets with an 11/16 inch socket or head. It would not be a bad idea to tell you in the instructions what sized tools you would need. Some people complained that the bolt hole did not line up. If you had that problem you were not doing it correctly. The company added a flyer with an number to call for technical help. I have nothing negative to say about this rack.

These dumbbells seem to be good quality, the knitting and shape of the handle are very comfortable. They feel just as good as the ones at the gym. It is a nice complete set allowing for multiple users of various abilities to find the appropriate weight. The rack is solid, sturdier than I expected. The bench is also of better quality and more stable than I expected it to be. Overall I think this set will meet the requirements of someone who is just starting out and is also a good solid set for pretty hard core workouts. I would definitely recommend this set

Just got this rack and so far it's as I expected. Took me about 45mins to assemble the rack as it's a little tricky building it solo. Pretty sturdy all round, looks great and gym is tidy. Weights have strong rubber odor but expect this will disappear over time. Delivery was fairly quick, within a week of order so not too bad and communication was ok for arranging delivery. One thing that is deceptive in the pictures is that the rack is bigger than it looks. Really need to spread the weights s out to make it look full but you could probably fit another few pairs of dumbelks if needed!! Only let down was this didn't come with the tools for assembly but was lucky enough to have some left over from another piece of equipment.

This is an awesome dumbbell rack. Very heavy duty and very easy to put together. When it arrived I was a little worried that something might be bent or dinged because the box it came in was beat to heck. But there was no damage to any components. I especially like the way they shrink wrapped the nuts and bolts needed to put it together. You can quickly ensure you have all the parts required. All the individual steel parts were wrapped in plastic as well. It's a great rack that will hold all the dumbbells most people would ever need. Compared to some of the other racks that will hold as many dumbbells as this one will the price is great as well. Well deserving of 5 stars.

Good, solid rack for the money. Actually closer to 4.5 stars. My only ding is that the back "lip" portion of each level is pretty high. I have a 5-50 Body-Solid rubberized hex db set (which this rack EASILY accommodates). The problem is that the handles of the dumbbells hit that back lip (up to about the 30 lb. dumbbells). So the hex-head isn't resting on the surface. From 30 lbs up, the head is large enough to lay on the surface as intended. That back lip really doesn't need to be quite as high as it is. They could probably knock it down by a half-inch or so and it would still hold dumbbells on with no problem. Minor detail, but worth half a star. Otherwise, a solid purchase for a home gym. Shipping was timely, packaging was perfect and all hardware was included. Pretty simple assembly.
