These are quality weight plates but their is a definitive Uniroyal /Goodrich odor of mendacity to them. lol. not extreme but I have my set in my bedroom so I'm hoping after a couple of days they'll air out. Can't blame the manufacture . Rubber has little choice but to smell like rubber haha. Reminds me of all the tire loads I've hauled out of Titan tire. ... show more

Weights are great and look fantastic. Issue is it’s been weeks and smell is still insanely strong and awful. Had them outside for days and didn’t matter.

These plates were definitely a steal. They are large and on the thin side which is what was looking for. Only down side is the horrible burned rubber scent,however, considering the good price on these, I'll just let them air out on my patio. They'll be fine.
