After opening, there was a small chip in middle of wood seat . . well, that was okay at first, until it continued to pull our family and friends clothes and more pieces chipped off. Original review: These are gorgeous! I love the look! We ordered 4 stools and two of them are not level. The seats tilt. We have done everything we know to try getting them to be straight with no luck. :-( Update after more use: These are absolute crap. We barely sat on them the first three months we had them. Now that we're working from home more often and using the stools more, their quality is atrocious. We've been working from home for ~3 weeks now, and two of our four stools have broken. The brackets holding the seat on just snapped off and now the tops don't turn at all, which means they don't move up or down in height. It's not like we're spinning around on them obnoxiously. We literally turn them to adjust the height, or get on/off the stool. Pretty pissed to have spent so much money on stools that broke essentially after two weeks of use.

Initially I was hesitant to purchase these simply because of the price. I'm sure if you've looked elsewhere you've seen that similar stools are priced significantly higher. I was initially going to dock a star for the tops of the stools only, but when you look at the quality of product you're receiving for the price, the benefits FAR exceed any cons. These are a great bargain for the price. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. Dimensions: - Stool top: 15" diameter - Height range: 19.5" - 24.5" The good: - The price can't be beat - Although fake wood, the tops look unique (see pictures) - The swivel function works well without any squeaking - The metal is well constructed and doesn't feel cheap at all The bad: - The top is not actual wood (fake laminate) - At the maximum height the stool is a little shaky, but nothing that limits functionality Overall impression: I would buy these again in a heart beat

The barstools are beautiful. I love them at my kitchen island. I do have a problem with one stool. It was missing one of the welded braces on the leg, rendering the chair useless! I called Ashley, hoping to get just one new leg for the chair. I waited on hold for 25 minuets, to talk to 3 different representatives. I was told the 4th representative would call me back. Well, that never happened!!! I would not recommend buying these bar stools. They are challenging to put together, instructions are vague. If that is not enough frustration, just try to deal with customer service!

Finally got around to putting these together, as our kitchen reno took longer than expected. Within three weeks of use screws literally started falling out of the seat with plugs of wood still attached. The wood being screwed into is pressed wood garbage so the screws just can't hold. the screw holes are how all stripped out and there's no way to fix it.

They are solid and look great. Big height range with adjustment. I’m giving it only 4 stars because I think they were designed by some seriously evil people. Whoever thinks these parts are “ interchangeable” is fooling themselves. You will need to use some serious muscle power to get all the screw holes to line up. I used a couple carpentry clamps to really hork on stuff to get it lined up. That and quite a few curse words got them together (don’t build at church or Christmas morning). The Alan wrenches that come with each stool are total crap. The softest steel money could buy. You will need both wrenches for each stool. And don’t plan on losing any of the screws or washers, you are given EXACTLY as many as will be needed. In the end, after building 8 of them I could turn one out in 20 minutes. Once together they look good, feel solid, work well.

First arrival had broken leg and I only was given the option to return the whole box. Second arrival had missing bolts. One bolt had no thread. When adding the inner ring, it was not measured and machines correctly to go to the legs. Had to bend and hammer to get it together. Would return again, but tired of the process of taking everything apart and doing large item return through the mail. Definitely would never order this brand again.
