Five stars for looks. Three stars for comfort. That’s the short version. These chairs are beautiful. We have a midcentury farmhouse vibe going in our house, and these chairs have toned down the retro feel. As for comfort, eh, the arms are metal, so they aren’t super comfortable. The back cushion is very rigid, but we have only had these set up for a couple days so I’m hoping to break it in. Actually, all of the cushions are very rigid, so I am hoping the comfort level improves over time. That said, my kids have been flipping over the backs of them and haven’t gotten injured so that has to mean something, right? Installation was simple enough; required Allan key (spelling?) was included but save your thumb and use a drill with the appropriate bit. I put mine together using the Allan key and it took a while, maybe 30 minutes. My husband used a drill and it took far less. Shipping was fast! Amazon said ships in 2-3 days, so was expecting a week lead time. We received at our home on the third day, so that was a pleasant surprise. All in all, gorgeous chairs. Love the quality and design for the price. My husband assembled solo except for the last few steps and it was built in an hour. Others say it's too upright or stiff but we find it very comfortable, especially paired with a pouf ottoman. The chair is a statement for sure,like a work of art. Very cool,gorgeous chair. It’s much higher than expected,especially for someone 5’2”!! Maybe if the bottom cushion was rock hard,maybe it just needs broken in? I’ve invited all my XL guy friends to come over and bounce around on it. I’ve also allowed my 6 year old to use the cushion on the floor which is a huge no no any other time. Oh and I should mention it took me approximately 30 minutes and many choice words to put the thing together. I did it myself so really it wasn’t too bad. Gorgeous chair,just not high on the comfort level given the rock hard cushion and the height from the rock hard bottom cushion to floor. If you’re a short person like me (5’2”) it’s not the perfect sit and read a book kind of chair.. if you’re a 6’2” ex college football player then you’ll like it,but that bottom cushion is still rock rock. ... show more

I needed an accent chair for a corner of our living room and this fit perfectly! I love the look of it. I added a lumbar pillow and a small ottoman and found it pretty comfortable to sit in. Obviously this chair isn't as comfortable as a plush recliner but of course it isn't made for comfort but style. It was quite easy to put together. I did it by myself in about an hour although it would have been a lot easier and faster with a 2nd person. The price is fantastic for the quality. It truly is a beautiful chair. ... show more

I didn't assemble the chair so I can't rate the chair itself. Our issue was the color. It is not as shown in the photos above. Instead we received a very dark brown faux leather chair. So disappointed as we were looking forward to receiving them.

The directions were not helpful, but assembly was not complicated and my husband figured it out. I love the warm brown color and black frame. It matched a shelving unit so well. I asked my cats about the comfort of the chair and they were very positive in their review. I put a blanket in the seat and they love sleeping there. The media could not be loaded. I splurged in buying this. I really, really liked it, and thought it would look amazing in my bedroom. The chair arrived in a pretty large square box. You may need help in lifting it up stairs. Assembly was pretty easy and straight-forward; maybe took 30 minutes to set up. The leather is a dark chocolate brown. It looks about the same as it does in the listing. However, one thing I was not prepared for was the frame: it's more of a medium grey, rather than black as I was expecting. Meh. The seat's cushion leaves something to be desired. It's very, very firm. This is definitely not a chair you could sit for hours in and be comfortable. For under $200, if you want something pretty for your living room or bedroom and don't intend on sitting too often, this chair does the job. ... show more
