For a "bigger"chair, seat is too short, seat is rather firm and back is too soft. Foot rest will not lock in up position, so someone with heavier legs will make it go down, as will shifting in seat. Too hard to recline, and if you use your legs to help straighten your body to push chair back into reclined position the foot rest goes down. The handle is out of reach when foot rest up so unless you have long arms you cant reach it, which doesn't really matter since it doesn't stay up anyway. For an expensive chair, they could have made it better. ... show more

I've had this chair a little over a week now. Took a while to get here! Now that I have it I enjoy it every chance I get. I'm 6'4" and 260 lbs. It fits me perfectly except for my feet. They hang over the footrest about 6 inches. Other than that the back is nice and high, there is a lumbar support in the back that comforts my aching back. The seat is nice and wide with room to spare and it's easy to get out of because it's the right height. The arm rests are solid and placed just right. The reclining mechanism is smooth and easy to use. If this chair holds up I'll be one happy camper! Unless you want to spend three times as much for a recliner for a large tall man you won't find any better, The one star off was because of the short footrest and the covering material looks and feels thin and may not last. ... show more

This chair is very wide and sturdy. I like the manual reclining feature. Some people have reviewed this chair and said it’s too stiff. It’s true that the seat is firm, but I think it’s a good thing. The fabric is quite plush and doesn’t shed at all. My parents are contemplating buying a couple of these chairs to replace their fairly new expensive recliners. Every time they visit I find my dad asleep in my chair after being out of the room for only a few minutes. Pretty sure he likes it even more than I do. Haha ... show more

    • Very comfortable recliners, and relatively simple shipping/delivery.

I was already set on these recliners since I checked them out originally at an Ashley furniture store. I decided to purchase two of these recliners on Amazon rather than from Ashley Furniture due to the free shipping option offered from Amazon ($199 delivery charge from Ashley). CEVA was responsible for shipping the recliners from the original warehouse to the final warehouse, which was then picked up and delivered by a company called Locomote Express. A person from Locomote Express called me a couple days before delivery asking if I was okay with a particular day and timeframe. Delivery was in an extra-large box truck and the driver was very courteous. I did not have the items delivered directly to my door since I live in a relatively rural area with gravel roads, but the driver helped me place the boxes on my truck. Recliners were easy to assemble and are SO comfortable to relax in. However, I do have one minor complaint - these recliners have a very noticeable odor to them that does not dissipate for quite a while (3-4 days). I was told this was normal though in order to protect the fabric while in storage at a warehouse. Overall, very pleased with the recliners and the delivery process was not complicated at all. ... show more

I spent over $500.00 for this chair and within a month the padding on the seat was bunching up and shifting. I won't send it back due to the weight etc. Plus it took me forever to get it and no updates from the shipping company. Plus there is a catch when I recline. Hopefully it is just a screw that I can tighten. But again since I have only had it for 3-4 months.... ... show more
