This chair is very wide and sturdy. I like the manual reclining feature. Some people have reviewed this chair and said it’s too stiff. It’s true that the seat is firm, but I think it’s a good thing. The fabric is quite plush and doesn’t shed at all. My parents are contemplating buying a couple of these chairs to replace their fairly new expensive recliners. Every time they visit I find my dad asleep in my chair after being out of the room for only a few minutes. Pretty sure he likes it even more than I do. Haha ... show more

    • Definitely not worth $800 or even $600
I'm 6'5" tall and 300lbs and this is the first chair I've ever had that fits me while fully reclined, my feet do hang off a bit but not a whole lot and its still better than any other chair I've owned previously. The cushion is a bit firm making my back stiff but I'm thinking it'll "break in" eventually. Edit: I purchased a 3" twin size egg crate and it fits well. Making it more comfortable than before (I'm not stiff whenever I get out of it anymore). Originally bought a twin fitted sheet to cover it but it seems a bit too small so I'm going with the twin XL sheet. It doesn't rock but that makes it much easier for me to get up and out of the chair. The feet do slide on my tile floor too easily so I ordered some anti slip pads and they'll be here today. The zero wall feature makes it hard for me to reach my table so I'll have to buy a different one (no big deal). It could lay back farther than it does and before pulling the handle it sits straight up. Most other handle recliners you have to use just the handle to fold down the foot rest but this one lets you use your legs too. There's no clicking sounds whenever I pull the handle back to recline like some of the other reviews I read. You Do have to scoot up the chair to take full advantage of the fully reclined length, otherwise you'll hang off of it like any other chair 😕... It's been a few months now and the right side is already starting to sag, I'm assuming it's because of the reclining handle being on that side. Sorry if I'm all over the place with my review, I try to be as Honest as possible with these and since there isn't another chair close to this size on Amazon, I have to make the best out of it and IF there's someone else who's in my situation maybe my review will help them ☺️ Will edit in a few months IF anything changes. LESS Than 1 year later, the seat has fallen in the upper right corner just from closing the recliner. I do not recommend this chair for large people.. ... show more

    • Easy to assemble, but look for the extra Screws.
If they send extra screws with the chair, there is a reason. (The screws are just loose in the box) We could not figure out why the recliner made a popping sound when the foot rest was raised, then the seat started creaking. We finally turned the chair upside down and found there was a screw missing on the left side, under the arm, that attaches to the foot rest. The screw that was in the box was too short to fix that problem without taking the section apart, because the holes will not line up, close enough for the short screw. My husband finally got it lined up and put a long screw in there, and now it doesn't pop or squeak. You shouldn't have to fix something within a week of receiving it. Now, I can say, I truly like the chair. I put rubber pads on the feet to keep it from sliding, but that's fine. There is an odor, but it diminishes in a few days. I looked at this chair a long time before I ordered it I had to take 1 star away because we had to fix a problem that shouldn't have been. UPDATE: The screw fell out, so we started over trying to fix it. Hubby wanted to send it back, but after we thought it was fixed, he burned the box. SO, after checking it out better, we realized why there were 2 screws in the box. There were 2 holes on the left side that did not have screws, not just one, and the holes didn’t line up. We managed to get screws into the holes, just don’t know how long they will last. So, just a reminder to myself, no more furniture from Amazon. ... show more

Seems to be sturdy and well made but it's not as comfortable as claimed. Not a "big man" recliner. I'm 6'0 and my feet hang off the foot rest when reclined. I would not recommend this product for larger folks.

I bought this chair because I am close to 300 pounds and carry most of my weight in lower areas. I wanted a chair that was sturdy and wider than most. However I have the following issues with it. 1) cannot get the footrest to lock when raised. If my legs are up the cat jumping on it lowers it quickly. 2) if I recline it does not hold and as soon as I try to relax it forces me back into upright position. 3) the back cushions stick out too far and makes the seat smaller. 4) the seat was supposed to be 21 inches font to back. Only measures 19 inches. Then with the back cushion even less. 5) my feet hang off the end of the footrest when elevated Things I like about the chair. 1) wide full 25 inches arm to arm. 2) color, the brown is a nice color that will hide dog hair easily. ... show more

I've had this chair a little over a week now. Took a while to get here! Now that I have it I enjoy it every chance I get. I'm 6'4" and 260 lbs. It fits me perfectly except for my feet. They hang over the footrest about 6 inches. Other than that the back is nice and high, there is a lumbar support in the back that comforts my aching back. The seat is nice and wide with room to spare and it's easy to get out of because it's the right height. The arm rests are solid and placed just right. The reclining mechanism is smooth and easy to use. If this chair holds up I'll be one happy camper! Unless you want to spend three times as much for a recliner for a large tall man you won't find any better, The one star off was because of the short footrest and the covering material looks and feels thin and may not last. ... show more
