I’m pleasantly surprised by this mattress. I’ve slept on it for a month and .wasn’t expecting this quality for the price. I purchased a queen and gave it the full 2 days to unfurl and do its thing. I would say it’s firm yet still a little plush. There’s no feeling of sinking and the sides don’t slope if you sit on the edge. I can put something down on the surface and it won’t spill or really, move at all. I’m guesstimating a good 3-5 year life but that’s exactly what I wanted. I wanted to wait a little bit before I reviewed the mattress. Get over the phase of transition from the old one to the new one, and see for sure how the mattress affects my sleep quality. I can't even tell you how much I love this mattress. I use to be tired all the time, I had back pain so bad that I could barely stand for long. My energy level is getting better and better each day as I get a MUCH better quality sleep than I was before. I look forward to going to bed now, instead of avoiding it as much as I could. My back pain has significantly improved!!! The mattress is so thick and soft! I sink right in and am out like a light. That never happens for me! I have insomina! I wanted to like this mattress so badly! Here’s the details: I’m a plus size woman (245 pounds) with bulging c-spine discs and fibromyalgia. My life is full of pain but I really wanted to improve my neck and shoulder pain with this purchase of a new mattress. My previous mattress did me good for almost 7 years but I should have gotten rid of it a year ago. It was a hybrid mattress that helped my pain because it was soft but sturdy. My review on this mattress: Firstly, the mattress is beautiful but lacks in quality. It’s really bouncy which shocked me. I literally bounce around on it and I’m a big girl! With all the bounce, comes the lack of support that larger people need or people with bad backs hopes for (both in my case). It reminds me of my bed when I was a kid (I’m almost 52). The first couple of weeks, I really like the very thin layer of cushion/memory foam on top of the mattress but it seems to have disappeared because I’m already feeling pressure from the springs. I’ve given this mattress and my body approximately a month to adjust and I’ve ended up with very sore tendon/muscle in my back on the lower left. I sleep on my left side so I guess it’s safe to assume, the pain is from this mattress. UGH! I’ve added a bamboo mattress pad and I can still feel the pressure from the springs when I’m lying on my side. It lacks any support (hence all the springs and being so bouncy). This would probably it be a great bed for kids or teens but for adults who work hard and/or have physical issues, this bed shouldn’t be considered. I’m considering returning it but I have no idea how to return a purchase, much less a mattress, bought from Amazon. ... show more
