They were packaged very well, very easy to assemble, and the lamp shade did not have to be assembled. They have a 3 way socket with a rotary on-off switch. I purchased mine on Warehouse Deals, Like New condition at a great price. The box appeared never to have been opened. The packing material disintegrated as I was trying to get them out of the box and styrofoam pieces were everywhere. EVERYWHERE! I like the lamp base however was expecting white shades and received tan colored shades instead. Disappointed as it was advertised white. Definitely should have read the reviews prior to purchasing.

Just got this today. Had a lamp with the switch not working properly and gave this a try. Very easy to put together. Extremely well packaged, including the shade. Tested it, and it works, and looks surprisingly nice. The price of course was quite good as well.
