This piece was beautiful. Took myself and husband about an hour to put it together..Was really easy as most of it was just hook and slide pieces together and the final screws in the top pulled it all together. The main body of the item is fully assembled so time saver there. We did have one door that kept popping open but a small adjustment to the inside catch fixed it. This is exactly what we have been looking for both sides of our fireplace. The package came exactly as described. It didn’t take us long to figure out how to put it together, and the directions were very helpful. Most everything lined up, and only occasionally had to make something fit (hole didn’t line up). It is a quality, sturdy piece for the money. Very heavy, took 2 men to bring in the house for delivery. My husband and I had it together in an hour. I highly recommend! ... show more

Looks great, not terribly difficult to assemble, and not damaged at all. Almost exactly 1/2 the price as the piece was at the Ashley store. Pictured with a 75” TV and I wish it was just a few inches wider (or wish hubby would’ve gotten a smaller TV :) ) so I could decorate more on the sides. We will probably hang the TV eventually to help with that. The left and right back panels were too tall to allow the top to sit flush so hubby had to cut them down about 1/4 inch with our table saw, and one of the holes in the top to screw in from the underside was not threaded properly so we couldn’t screw down one front corner. Also had to cut out a bigger hole in the back because our stereo was too deep to fit when all of the wires are plugged in. None of these things are noticeable when totally assembled, so overall it is exactly what we wanted! ... show more

I’ll start this off with, you get what you pay for. We purchased this item on sale, so it’s worth what money we put into it. I would seriously reconsider purchasing this item if you are paying more than $500. —No instructions in the box. Contacted Amazon, they were unable to provide any assistance. Fortunately the instructions can be looked up online with the model number. — Stand was fairly easy to put together. My husband did it alone in under an hour. — A wooden part was broken off. Can be fixed with longer screws and wood glue. —Color does not completely match the Bolanbrook end tables and coffee table. —Stand has quite a few cosmetic issues. Other than color, the stand looks dirty in some areas. After wiping it down, I noticed no change. The color issue appears to be where it was stained and wiped off carelessly. Stain not wiped in some areas. Wood glue dried dripping down the front. — Doors do not line up perfectly and struggle to stay closed. All in all, it’s a nice looking piece until you really start looking at the details. Of you find the stand on a good sale, I’d say it worth it. Do not pay full price though, you’ll be disappointed. ... show more

I will start by saying think twice before ordering this piece through Amazon. It is an extremely heavy box being delivered, (at least in my case) by two individuals, who clearly couldn’t handle such a heavy box. Needless to say, the box came in damaged. Though the manufacturer packaged the box very well, at the point of damage to the box, upon opening, there was no damage to the product at the point of impact. I excepted the package and brought it into the garage. As I continued to open the box and inspect each item, I noticed a chip damage to a shelf and what clearly appears to be water damage to one of the side panels, causing the particleboard panel to bloat. At this point, I contacted Amazon, who gave me instructions for a pick up on Friday February 17th. I arranged my schedule around that date only to receive a phone call the following day that the driver for pick up was only available Wednesday, February 15. So I had to change my schedule again no thanks to Amazon because it was the freight company who called me so I made arrangements to be at home for pick up. I had advised the Amazon customer service representative that due to the weight of the box and all the contents within it it would be virtually impossible to re-package it the way it came in, I advised her that I would do my best. Wednesday, February 15, the transport driver arrived at my residence alone. This was an older gentleman who clearly would not be able to handle this box alone. I assisted as best as I could within my limitations, and he was able to load it up, thank me and leave. Be aware that if you order this product, the same can happen to you due to the weight and obvious miss handling of the box due to the weight and the return process is just as arduous. ... show more
