Very impressed with this futon. The cushion is comfortable and the cover is soft and looks great. Assembly was easy, though you will likely need two people for the final step, but the rest of it was no problem to complete solo. All the parts and hardware are well organized and labeled and the instructions are clear. Everything fit where it was supposed to and lined up. I was also impressed with the quality of the wood and all the little details, including wooden caps to cover some of the bolt holes, which is was a nice touch that seems to be pretty uncommon now. Beautiful piece of furniture!! Great quality and easy directions/assembly, and super easy to switch from couch to bed/vice versa. Rating 4 stars because, as I've seen on other sites, the frame is much more gray than brown as was the mattress, and because the hardware was broken open and missing a 2 critical parts. Fortunately I was able to pick up similar hardware at Home Depot to make it work since I didn't care to call customer service for a single bolt and nut. I was very surprised at the quality of this futon. The wood is great, all predrilled holes lined up, hardware went in easily, and the mattress very comfortable. The instructions are step by step pictures and very easy to follow. I do have experience assembling furniture but believe most people would be able to assemble this futon. The only drawback is converting from a bed back to a sofa with the mattress on it. I’m sure eventually I’ll get a hang of it. ... show more

Quality wood, sturdy! Easy to put together, because great instructions were included. Exactly what I was looking for. Customer service is above and beyond. I want to thank the customer service team for the quick replies and continued support. It is nice to know that customer care still exists! (The delivery company, accidentally delivered to the wrong place. No fault of the seller) I have a small 800 sq ft home, so the bedrooms are small, just a bit bigger then a California Queen bed. My office/guest room was too crowded for my desk and a queen size bed. This full size futon and frame fits perfectly to create an office feel for day to day use. This is not the first futon I have owned. I wanted a futon that was both comfortable to sleep on and sit on when folded up. From reviews I read on this one before purchasing it seemed to fit the bill. I have not been disappointed. My 21 year-old son is using it as a bed for three months between college semesters. The full-size version I ordered is more comfortable than the bed he had in his dorm room. The mattress has springs in it that makes it more than just a pillow type of feel. I tried it out myself and was pleased. Opening it to the complete horizontal position can be done with one person grabbing the center of the seated portion and pulling out. Setting it back up into a couch is more easily done with two people squealing it together from the sides. I purchased the version with drawers. The simply roll on the floor and fit under the frame. If you didn’t want to use them you could take them out and store them and the futon would look normal without them there. It was the same price with or without them so I figured I might as well get them. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase. I would definitely buy this futon again. ... show more

I bought this as a bed/couch for a basement guest bedroom. It went together in just under an hour, which would have been faster/easier with two people. The instructions were clear and all the hardware was well labelled and packaged individually in blister packs. The frame is heavy duty and looks great. The mattress (which comes rolled up in it's own box) is comfortable for both sitting and sleeping. The folding part wants to spring back open, so you might want to get a non-slip pad for it. Transition from couch to bed is easy. Going from bed to couch is a little more difficult. Also keep in mind that you'll have to pull the couch away from the wall before converting it into a bed.
