This is not for soft-bed lovers; this is a FIRM MATTRESS. It is a pretty thin bed, made with fiberglass so if that is an issue for you, then don't purchase. However, I was in the market for a very hard bed. After a month of sleeping on it, I have some of these more specific comments: - the foam is very comfortable and I never felt any dip/sagging at all in the middle or around the bed - there is some dropoff at the edges of the mattress where there is less material if that's a concern - it retains warmth well so if you move around to get to colder parts of your bed, you're out of luck - not a bouncy bed but it does have movement - sometimes wake up with slight back pain if i sleep on one of my sides Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would not want to get a different mattress. If you're in the market for firm beds, this is a very safe purchase!

I had purchased two of these twin sized mattresses for kids bunk beds. 100% satisfied. Great price, great quality. Although I have Prime, the offer for these items was free shipping and wasn’t expected for delivery 10 days out - we were delighted to receive 4 days later. I have a queen sized Tempur-Pedic mattress I paid over $2500 for, and when it’s time to replace, I would personally consider purchasing the Chime mattress for myself in the future. The comfort in my opinion is equal for a similar quality of memory foam and support. These Chime 10-inch mattresses also form to shape with your body temperature, like the Tempur-Pedic, and we are fans of this. I am a side sleeper, but I usually start out on my back and also sleep on my stomach. So yes, your body temperature will mold your body to the mattress and take a moment to adjust to your sleep position (if you are not familiar to the feeling of how these mattresses work). Set-up was a breeze. I am a female and approximately 130 lbs., and I love the convenience and ease with deliveries to my door. After removing the plastic packaged mattress from the box, I had rolled out the compressed mattress onto the platform of the top bunk bed. While unrolling, a separate layer of plastic was removed. Once the mattress was in place, I cut away from the mattress on the top end - air immediately started to fill up the mattress - the decompressing begins. Then I cut the plastic on the opposite end to allow more air to fill up within the mattress. After each end was exposed and nearly full, I had carefully cut away from the mattress on one of the sides before I was able to remove the plastic entirely from the mattress. Each twin mattress literally took 2-3 minutes to appear to its full size, but this could take a few to several hours before the mattress has reached its full effect depending on the mattress size you have purchased. I have shared our one minute ‘Mattress in Minutes!’ video. The first photo with my review I am sharing was taken after the video, and the second photo with my 8 year old lying on mattress is after 5 minutes from start. No defects. We have mattress protectors for each. In addition, these 10-inch mattresses fit standard size sheet sets perfectly. No issues with the fitted sheet inching, even with the bumper we have tucked under the fitted sheet on the top bunk. The fitted sheet has kept the bumper secured for the last week as well, so we’re not having to adjust the bumper daily like our previous mattress. Other reviews had mentioned an odor - this is a light odor from manufacturing/packaging. However, like other mattresses, the scent goes away after a couple days and has not been noticeable after a week. I do wish there were handles on the sides of the mattress to easily shift/move/adjust, like my bed has, but it’s not a deal breaker. My kids love their new mattresses, and have been sleeping like a dream. While hunting for a mattress like mine without the price tag, hours of researching and reading reviews, I am pleased with our purchase of Ashley’s Chime and have absolutely no regrets. Best bang for your buck!

I was looking to replace an innerspring that had gotten a little too soft and started dipping too much. This seemed to fit the bill as one of the few that were actually stated to be firm. It arrived brand new in box as expected, I left it out to air up overnight. No smells or anything weird. The covering is nice and soft. It is definitely on the firmer side to start, but could be firmer. After sleeping on it a few months it has gotten a little softer where I sleep and you can tell the difference when you move to spots that aren't slept on. This is my first memory foam mattress and I figure that's to be expected but it is still about as comfortable but time will tell if it gets any worse. If you want extreme firmness then you would probably need to stick to an innerspring I guess. I sleep on my stomach a lot so lower back pain is an issue if you sink too much. Overall for the price I am not complaining. Perhaps once I start rotating it the old spots will come back to like new. If not I'd say it is closer to a firm-ish or average firmness after a few months basically but you don't sink much and it's quite comfortable. Time will tell, but the good thing about these is you could also technically flip them over and sleep on the harder foam and put the softer layer on bottom which you can't do with a spring. If there are any dramatic changes I will update this but if you need a cheap average-to-firm low profile mattress quick then this should be just fine!
