Ok First: I've done extensive research on mattresses, what kind of mattress does better holding up, what to look for in a mattress and what mattress firmness does better for different people and how they sleep ect. Ect..... After paying for an over thousand dollar "hybrid" mattress in store, touching, feeling, testing and being reassured by a "professional mattress store owner" that hybrids are the new elite premium purchases of all mattresses and worth their extremely high price tag, I was at a loss, three months in with my king of all kings mattress and it's already large dips on both sides of the bed from myself and my husband alike, even though we're two very very different people in size, height and weight! Now my husband is a 6'2 160 lb man and I'm a 5'9 240 lb woman, that's a fairly large difference, yet we both caused dips in that mattress within the same time frame. So yeah I've got some trust issues 😂. Trust me sleep has been unbearable.... Second: I needed a mattress that I could buy that was affordable and that was going to do its job! So I began reviewing mattress after mattress, ones best for heavier set people and ones that were reliable. I looked both on and off of Amazon. There are countless ones just like this one that come up, ranging from a little cheaper than this too a little more, but the reviews for me on this one and of course that steal of a deal price tag. Can a sounds too good too be true, be real in this world? Yes. Now I've only had this mattress for coming up on 2 weeks but following the recommended two days set time before using, when I first laid on this bed....I knew instantly that top dollar, premium hybrid was an Elite lie! I'm talking instant comfort that I'd been denied the luxury of having, because of a top dollar investment I was stuck with. This mattress has already in the time spent on it, started to relieve my siatica nerve pain that the last ugly sinful bed had caused me to have. Back pain solved (mind you, I have no extensive issues with my back, only an out of alignment hip) instant grogginess and tiredness gone in the am, I'm able to get myself out of bed because I actually slept with optimal comfort and actually get deep rest.... Go figure, you really do need restful sleep too cure most simple things that ail you 😬.... Gone fatigue and achy tired muscles, gone pinched nerves, and feeling like I'm 8 years older then I really am! Now am I getting ahead of myself? Maybe! But honestly just the two weeks that I've gotten was actually worth what I paid for this mattress already 😂😃😂.. see that tells you just how bad my "premium hybrid" really was! Alas....I know that things could change in a month or maybe even less....So I solemnly vow to come back in a month and give an update and then also at the 6 month mark and give another update and then we'll see if we make it to the 1 year mark to see what we got going on then! That way you can feel better about making an actual decision, incase you got trust issues or mattress ptsd like me, or have a similar story and have searched ruthlessly hoping to find something that'll give you and your wallet piece of mind!! Edit: It's been 4 years and we still LOVE these mattresses! Also had a friend stay over, go home and buy the same mattress for their house! *All attached photos were taken within 4 hours of unpacking* Only time will tell how this mattress holds up but I am very pleased thus far. I bought two 12" full size for my kids (this listing) and a king size 12" Elite for myself & spouse (separate listing) all on a Cyber Monday sale. These are our first memory foam mattresses and I completed an exhaustive amount of research for the better part of a year before settling on these. Upon delivery, these were well packaged. The mattresses each came in a clear bag which was shrinkwrapped around them. They were then rolled and covered in a durable milky-colored plastic and finally boxed in a clearly marked manufacturer's box. We brought the kid's beds in to sit at room temp for a day before unpacking. Each came with clear (albeit unneccessary) instructuons on how to set up. I would highly reccommend if you bought the bed in winter to let it get to room temp before unpacking. It speeds up the recovery proccess tremendously. The kid's beds were up in a matter of minutes with the corners lagging slightly. Ours, which sat in my car in the cold a few days, took longer. Regardless, none of the three took the full 48 hours which is referenced in the packaging. I read a lot about foam beds having an odor. I did not experience an odor with any of these in the slightest, even when first opening. You will want deep pocket sheets/pads/protectors. We have a variety of linens and regular sheets just do not cut it with these. Ashley did not cut any corners on standard bed size measurements and all of these fully fit the frame they are on, one is actually slightly too big. That coupled with the height, you need deep pocket sheets. The beds offer pressure relief but don't suck you in. I like a firm bed and I would classify these as firm. It's my hope that a firmer bed will last longer. The beds do respond to more weight/pressure but certainly aren't pillowy soft. I felt like I was able to change posotions easily. A parter's weight/movements can still be felt but not to the extent of an interspring. Choice of foundation will probably impact this as well. These do not sleep too hot for us. However, being children's beds, they are not loaded down with heavy blankets and comforters so I can't speak to how they might retain heat if that was the case. As I said, time will be the biggest test. Our previous $1,200 mattress lasted less than 4 years. Hell, for $150/bed this was worth the gamble. Comparatively, these only have to last 6 months to be equivalent in price longevity. TL/DR....Reasons for buying: Price, brand/company I have heard of, all foam construction with thick dense base.

This mattress is worth every dollar. Me and my wife were ready to pick up the Serta foam mattress from Sam's club for $500. We read reviews of this mattress and the amazon basics mattress. But were concerned with how the mattress felt. The Sam's club mattress we tested out, sat on, laid on and jumped on. This was the main reason why we were going with the Serta from Sam's. The morning we were supposed to go to Sam's club, I read a review of this mattress that sold me. The guy was around my size (5'11, 230lbs) and answered all my questions I had hahahaaaa. I told my wife, i'm ordering this mattress (Queen size 12") it's half the price of the Sam's club Serta and if we didnt like it we could still return it. I'm glad we saved $250 by going with this mattress because its amazing. My issues, Lower back problems, I'm a side sleeper, I'm always hot, our old coil mattress sucked and My wife could feel every move i made on my side of the bed. Mattress was delivered in a day, delivery guy brought it to my door and offered to bring it inside. But it wasnt that heavy. I carried it up stairs to our room, with out a problem. Slid it out the box, cut the first bag open, unrolled it on top of our box spring and then cut the last bag open... Instantly it started to rise, slid the bag out from under the mattress and let it do its thing. To be safe and from the reviews we read, we opened the windows and had the febreeze ready. No smell what so ever. after 2 hours it was at about 10" and after 4 hours it was a little over 12". we gave it another 2 hours just incase but it didn't rise any higher. We put the sheets on and made the bed, it was higher than our old mattress. First thing i did was sit on the edge and noticed it didnt collapse. that was a good thing. Then i laid down and instantly fell in love haha. The mattress is firm but not hard. I could get in and out of bed with out my wife feeling a thing. First nights sleep was great, no issues, no lower back pain and absolutely no sweating. If you have back pain and need the support and want a good nights sleep. This is a great mattress. i'm no memory foam expert or mattress know it all. Im a regular guy that likes to sleep. This thing was easy to set up and lets me snore all night with no interruptions hahaaa Buy it NOW!

Felt great at first. Was soft, yet firm, just as I needed. Good price, easy to get into the house. My complaint is the sagging that happened somewhat quickly. Make sure you rotate it. But this is more of a memory foam issue and not this particular product or company.

We had been looking for a new bed for months. I, like many here, didn't want to pull the trigger on a mattress until I reviewed as many as possible. I read reviews and watched YouTube videos on Purple, Ghost, Lucid, Nectar, Tuft & Needle etc. My brain was hurting and my eyes were burning. I came across Chime and everything seemed good and the price is fantastic compared to the others. Day of delivery: I woke up as I always did with my old matress, hurting! Headache, eye, neck, back and leg pain. This has been a morning ritual for over a year. The UPS man knocked on my door and asked me to help him with the package. I said, of course bud. As we walked to his truck he says," I think it's a bed!?" I said," yes sir. Bed in a box the way of the future." He laughed. So the bed is slightly heavy and I'd recommend two players for this adventure. Unboxing: Its unboxes like any of the others. Carefully cut plastic and unroll bed. Then cut second set if plastic and watch the magic that is a 1" bed grow into a 12" mattress. Remember those grow a dinosaur by adding water pills as a kid? It's kinda like that without adding water. Firmness: I realize A LOT of people complain about how firm it is. Evidently I must have been sleeping on a broken hardwood floor for a mattress because this new mattress is amazing! I laid down on it after setting it up and didn't get up for two hours. I don't find it very firm at all. I'm 6'5" and 274lbs. So maybe that plays into it. This bed beyond comfortable. Overall: This was an excellent purchase for us. After our first night of sleep I woke up and didn't hurt. No joke. I'm sore but no actual pain like I've been used to for over a year. Its very well priced and showed up days early. How it will hold up over time is unknown but the now is amazing.

I recently purchased the Signature Design by Ashley Queen Size Chime 12 Inch Medium Firm Memory Foam Mattress with Green Tea & Charcoal Gel, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This mattress has exceeded my expectations in several key areas. First and foremost, the comfort level is outstanding. The medium firm support strikes a perfect balance, offering just the right amount of firmness without sacrificing comfort. The memory foam conforms to my body, providing excellent support and relieving pressure points. This has significantly improved the quality of my sleep, and I wake up feeling refreshed and pain-free. Initially, I was concerned about purchasing a boxed mattress online without trying it in person at a store. However, this mattress is comparable to a plush firm mattress available at local mattress stores, and my concerns were quickly put to rest once I experienced the comfort firsthand. One of the standout features of this mattress is the infusion of green tea and charcoal gel. These elements not only help with odor control but also maintain a fresh and cool sleeping environment. During the expansion process, I observed that the mattress sections on the outside of the roll expanded within an hour, while the section in the middle of the roll took about two days to fully expand. Due to this, I placed the middle rolled section by the footboard to allow additional expansion over time while still being able to use the mattress after 48 hours. As someone who weighs over 300 pounds, I find this mattress to be very comfortable and supportive. It provides excellent stability and does not sag, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What's more, it's extremely comfortable during side sleeping, providing the perfect level of cushioning and support. Overall, the Signature Design by Ashley Chime 12 Inch Memory Foam Mattress is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a comfortable, supportive, and high-quality mattress. This is very hard. I wish that it was possible to return the mattress or even donate it... Only what does one sleep on if they had the old mattress taken away? I definitely do not recommend this mattress for side sleepers. And, if you are paraplegic as I am it doesn't prevent pressure spots and sores. When I read soft. I didn't think it meant soft to the touch. That so called 2 top inches or even 3 inches of actual low density memory foam is pointless. You need at least 6 to 8 inches of that material. I did get 2 toppers both 3 inches: 1st is 2 layers of1.5 inches of low density foam, and the bottom 1.5 inches is hundreds of steel coils individually wrapped. The issue with this is the product is folded in half at the manufacturer and this destroyed one half making it at least medium firm or firm. The other half is comfy overall. But needs more cushion or pressure relief. So I got a 3 inch Tempur-Pedic memory foam actual high density memory viscoelastic memory foam. This is even to thin for actual pressure relief. It compresses down to where you feel what it is on. I folded it in half and tried, this was the sweet spot for a side sleeper. 6 actual inches of this type of foam. The mattress is well made, it is supportive if you sleep on your stomach and or back. It is simply way to hard for side sleeping. It was easy enough to set up No outgassing that we could detect. Maybe very little. It does in fact reach 12 inches all around. One huge thing is it is actually queen sized. Our last mattress was shorter and a little narrower. So the proper size really helps I weigh about 225 or so pounds. I am as mentioned paraplegic not paralyzed however, but use a wheelchair daily and when it comes to knowing what is or is not comfortable and pressure relieving or not I have become pretty good at it. If I could swap this mattress out for a soft one or medium soft that would be awesome. We have kept the mattress covered and has not one but 2 tippers on it keeping the mattress as clean as possible. But, how could I ever get this back into the original box now... In any regards I either misread the description or missed the medium firm part. If you are looking for a soft or medium soft mattress this is definitely not that. I wanted to really love this mattress as we are happy customers of Ashley Furniture as it is. If you need firm or medium firm this has that all day. Tip to future designs, make the top most layer 6 to 8 inches then start adding the support and other fill layers. Also, viscoelastic is the memory foam everyone wants to feel at a high density these other foams that are low density or just flat out foam shouldn't be called memory foam. They are at most seat type foams that fill cushions. Also offer mattresses in easy to determine soft to firm options. Also offer a means to exchange for different firmness or softness level would be nice. Since Ashley had stores and in our case are pretty local they could after we go to the store and test out other firmness options to get the right one, they send 2 people to examine our mattress and confirm it is exchangeable. An option Ashley could do is donate the mattress themselves, or resell them to used mattress resellers. In any event the aim is not to waste time or product when it fails to meet customer satisfaction and expectations. And, not to do the same for the manufacturer/seller either. I would rather be boasting about this instead. Quality is good. Meets advertised specs. Sadly to firm for us.
