5’8”, 175lbs and apple shaped (waist is larger than hips and butt). I always struggle finding shorts, pants, and skirts that will fit in a flattering way on my body. I ALWAYS have to size up to fit my waist and end up with a saggy butt look in most of my pants. I didn’t listen to the other reviewers about the stretch and give of these shorts. These are hideous shorts. If you have slim thighs, they are going to look a mess. They are actually flared, as you can see in the photo. Shorts have no business being flared.

I am 37 and the only thing that stores sell these days are shorts where my lady parts will be flapping in the breeze. I mean.... Who decided that we didn't want the rest of our shorts??? I also don't want them down to my knees either. I'm not that old yet. So..... Anyways..... These are perfect. They come down mid thigh and I don't feel over exposed or over dressed. Win, win. They do fit as expected so buy your regular size. I bought 2 pairs. Because at my age when you find something that works, I buy more than one. I'm 5' 6", 192 lbs and ordered a size 16. I listened to other reviews when purchasing these shorts. I am usually an 8 but ordered the 6 slim. I’m so glad I did because they fit PERFECTLY! They are not super short but not too long either. They have a good amount of stretch which really helped since I have a larger backside with a smaller waist. I tried them on as soon as I got them in the mail today and I’m still wearing them! I HATE this interface. Wrote a review and lost it!!🤬🤬🤬🤬. So this will be without my initial exuberance. Greay style, Great flexibility, perfect length, great feel (soft yet durable). Curvy mamas still buy a size down. Not curvy mamas consider possibly two sizes down. The stretch and comfort will make up for the over sized. The stretch holds me in without sacrificing my organs (I can eat in these) or scarring the skin on my muffin top. While I still feel like I could pull of some cute shirts/blouses with these. I can go to the pool in these. I can ride a bike in these and they are still long enough to go to a museum with my kids and not feel too exposed. Love this color but NOT enough color selection. Think HOT climates! We need khaki, white, olive green, safari brown! Can we get a super light wash jean blue too? Not sewing the cuff will give us more length options when we go inside the artic-temperatures of Florida air-conditioned buildings. (Easy to fix though only sewn at the seems). I read all the reviews and saw many saying to "size down", but I took a chance and ordered my regular size and they fit PERFECTLY! I'm older, with serious back issues, so I'm alot less active than I used to be. And while I'm not fat, my weight is starting to accumulate around my belly. I hate wearing pants that cut into my waist, and these have enough stretch that that isn't an issue. I could wear them all day! They're just the right length, and VERY comfortable to wear, so I'm ordering another pair in the darker denim color because here in SoCal it's still summer weather. These shorts fit me great! They fit true to size and more importantly, the inseam is long enough to cover what’s needed and short enough to look great an hit the middle of my thighs. The rolled cuff is sewed in place so it stays put. Pockets are full sized, not tiny like some cheaper shorts. You can fit your whole hand in it or a phone. Waistline is perfect on me.
