The Sierra Comfort Premium Wide Portable Massage Table (SC-601) is our premier portable massage table. The 28” wide tabletop coupled with 3” of high-density foam allows for additional surface area and comfort. The beech hardwood frame provides durability, while remaining lightweight and portable. The double support wires and threaded support bars add stability to the frame. The adjustable table height includes 9-points of adjustment, ranging from 25.5” to 33.5”. The table conveniently folds in half to allow for easy transport and mobility. Included are an adjustable face cradle and face pillow. Great table for a great price. I bought this table to practice OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine) on and it's been perfect for it. The table feels absolutely solid, is really well built, and easy to use. It's really light as well, and comes with a bunch of accessories that I'll never use, but I imagine a massage therapist would definitely be using for their clients. I haven't started learning HVLA techniques yet, so I can't really comment on this table's use for that (yeah my title isn't so accurate), but I think it'll work well for HVLA as well. The table is moderately firm, but comfortable enough to sleep on (my wife tends to fall asleep while I'm practicing). Even if the table ends up being too soft, I've discussed this issue with my professors and they say you can just put your hand in a fist or find other ways to accommodate. Update: We started doing HVLA techniques and while this table is a little softer than the ones we use at school, I can still perform the techniques without any issues. ... show more

    • A very fair table for its price

I am a beginning massage student, and wanted to purchase an affordable table to last me until I can buy something of a better quality. This table is a great bargain. The table itself is very sturdy. The legs, when opening the table, seem a little flimsy, but once set up it is able to hold a fair amount of weight. I haven't had anyone over the weight of 250 lbs on the table yet, so I don't fully know the weight capacity. Adjusting the height to suit my needs were slightly cumbersome, as one of the screws on one of the legs was slightly off making it difficult to adjust. Made the holes on the adjustable leg a little bigger with a drill and the problem went away. The face cradle I received was made of hard plastic and what appears to be aluminium. It can be angled up and down as well as slightly being able to adjust the height by about a half-inch higher at most. I had problems with the face cradle, as it fell underneath my head weight. With a little know-how, a fixable problem. Use a hex key and screw the bar a little tighter to prevent your clients' heads from falling off during the treatment. Obviously, test it yourself first to make sure it's safe. I tested this table on carpeted flooring, so I don't know if it'll slip and slide on tiles or hardwood floors. If it does, a bit of rubber will fix it. Other than the minor fixable issues, the table is very comfortable. Honestly, if the table breaks, you can at least salvage the two half-bolsters for other uses. I'm very satisfied with my purchase so far. ... show more

Been a massage therapist for 35 years - this is my third massage table. Less expensive than the first one I bought 35 years ago, VERY STURDY, EASY TO ASSEMBLE, COMFORTABLE, GOOD SIZE. I am short, so kind of bulky to carry around but not impossible. BUT VERY GOOD QUALITY. The table came in a week earlier than was expected, was in excellent condition and only the outside box looked like it had been "beat up" and ours was supposed to be a used one through Amazon. My only complaint is that there wasn't directions on how to secure the headrest into place. I could place it there but a little pressure and it would move. My husband figured out that the side that didn't have the knob needed the bolt tightened so that the knob that is supposed to hold it in place would work properly. We also found that the very comfortable thick neck pillows that you buy to fly with can also fit on the head rest board and can replace the black headrest pillow that came with it. Velcro can be sewn on to them and covers used. We are delighted with the ease of putting up the table, it works well for the aromatouch technique that we bought it for so the questions about huge weight tolerances weren't a concern as we would not be needing to get on the table with a client. We haven't taken it anywhere yet but I do wish the carrying bag had an inner pocket to put sheets into instead of just the outer one. For the money, I don't see how a person can go wrong. We had gone to an event with other tables set up that cost up to a couple of hundred dollars more a piece and even the owners of those tables couldn't explain why their tables cost so much more than this table that a friend had already purchased so we took their advice and bought this cheaper table, twin fleece sheets from Costco for $22, and the fleece pad through Amazon and we are extremely pleased with the result. Therefore, we definitely recommend the table although we would suggest that directions would be put in for adjusting the headrest. ... show more
