  • Great book
Other great book in this series. This story is about Dylan, Ryan's brother. Dylan finally finds his brother and some things extra too.

  • It’s alright.
This is a well thought out story. I was worried when the first book ended because the story wasn’t finished and we were moving on to new character but the author tied it in nicely. It was written well. My biggest issue is the Daddy/little aspect of the relationship. The consent is there but this type of relationship is a BDSM relationship. To me this means you take people who have certain needs,a dom and a sub, two doms and a sub, one dom and two subs etc, and their relationship needs complement each other. But to have people agree to submission or servitude and not need it but just want money, to me that is not a relationship that would last. To me a real BDSM relationship is beautiful, open and deep. The type of relationship depicted in these books is shallow, flat and a cheap comparison to the real thing. BUT I gave it 4 stars because... well unless I couldn’t finish it the authors deserve props and if the author had actually made the littles submissive instead of so obviously dominant or had made an adoption agency for omegas or something I really would have enjoyed it. But please author if your going to write about Daddies and little either show your knowledge of BDSM relationships or do more research. Other than that I think you are a great talent and I can’t wait to read more of your books. ... show more

  • Sweet and a bit unexpected
Sweetness with some added feels, that's what the second book in the series brought me. Dylan is a firecracker with a dominant side, Christian is a loving but flawed Daddy with his two boys and Brian is more fragile than he looks but strong enough to know what he wants. I was unsure how the stories would connect and if it would work, but I found I liked the shared view points between Dylan, Ryan and Brian, it let me keep in touch with our boys, and the story felt richer because of it. It's a different take on the Daddy/little stories, this one have some Dom/sub moments as well. It's well written with plenty of cuddling along with the intimacy, a monkey crane and playful foxes. I look forward to the next book in the series. ... show more

  • Fox, Fox, Crane
Sometimes you need a third to create the perfect relationship. Dylan's on the hunt for his brother and is picked by Christian to be his little. Unbeknownst to Christian, his roommate Brian, is in love with him and devastated when he learns that Christian has chosen a little. Luckily, Dylan is smart for his age and sees the issue between the 2 men and helps guide the group into a triad relationship. This book is a cute followup to the first book. This is a different take on age play. Dylan isn't a little because he wants that type of relationship and there's not a lot of traditional age regression in this book. I received an ARC, but all opinions are my own. ... show more

  • Not a stand-alone! But a great follow up to Hand in Hand!
Side by Side is the second book in the Forest Edge series and answered so many questions that the first book left you with. This book is not a standalone! Dylan is a little fire cracker who’s main goal is to find his brother and reconnect. In his journey, he finds his Daddy and Brian. Daddy is oblivious to Brian’s feelings and Brian just wants to be taken care of even though everyone things he should be an Aloha himself. Dylan sees the connection immediately and finagles a way for them all to be together. This book follows two m/m/m shifter trouples, no ABDL, just a saucy boy who likes pretty clothes, a shy non-alpha who loves hard, and a daddy who just wants to be the best for his boys. ... show more

Very cute and not what is expected. This book is Daddy, Boy, Service, Very little angst and very adorable relationships. Closes some of the plot from book one and adds more to the story. Must be read in order. MMM. 10/10 will be reading again! Can not wait for book 3!

  • Great second in a series, hopefully many more to come
The world building continues, and the introduction of new characters is welcome. It is nice to stay in touch with those we've already met, and I look forward to reading more about them all.

  • A Bit Scattered
Side by Side is the second book in the Forest Edge series. Continuing where book one ended, this book potentially could be read as a standalone, but I think it works best reading it after the first book. I was a little disappointed with the plot - it was too scattered and never built any momentum. The characters' personalities seemed to fluctuate a bit. There was still a lot of fluff and hot, intimate moments. ... show more
