This is the first book of Nikki Markham's I have read. I really enjoyed reading about the relationship of USA and Bailey. Who knew that going into the wrong club could lead to something everlasting.

    • Finally, a D/S novel that is almost believable 🎉🎉🎉

First of all, let’s face it. The vast majority of books that fall under the category of D/S erotica read like they were written by: 1. People who have absolutely no real life knowledge or experience in the world of kink. They are basically asking you to read their “creative writing “ and validate their contributions to the genre of erotica. 2. Never even considered asking someone to proofread their submission. The errors would make an elementary school nauseous. Now that I have vented, I want to thank Ms. Markham for giving me a story that I read from first word to last with a sense that I could actually relate to her subject matter because I believed her. The fact that a dominant can actually be insecure in the D/S relationship and fear being emotionally damaged was truly realistic. While the submissive’s over the top willingness to experience everything at super human speed was a bit much to take, it did lend credence to her faith in her lover. Someone who represented a lifestyle in which she had only a modicum of experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth chapters which allowed the reader to get into the minds of each main characters. I especially valued the author’s numerous references to “aftercare”. Power exchange is not something you experience and just walk away from. Caring couples spend as much time reinforcing their relationship with tenderness and communication. Lastly, half way through this novel, I immediately did a search for more works by this author and to my disappointment, found nothing!!! So, Nikki, get your awesome mind moving and keep us entertained with more characters like those you introduced here. Thank you for your creation of the character of Athena!! I have not had the best track record with FF books… many times it’s obvious the author has a lot of internal misogyny and one or both women are written a bit problematically. Or it’s obvious the author doesn’t know their way around a woman’s body. This is not the case here, and it was so refreshing. This book is heavy on the kink and sex, a little lighter on the relationship development but I still enjoyed it from beginning to end. If you’re new to FF I highly recommend this one. ... show more
