When Nyla first announced that she was writing this book, I was so excited by the concept. An MM college football romance, enemies to lovers, and with stepbrothers?!? Sign me up! I knew it would be seriously hot because let’s face it, what Nyla book isn’t? But what I wasn’t expecting was the deep, emotional connection I felt to these characters. I was not expecting to feel such raw, powerful and gut wrenching emotion, but these elements made Avi and Kyran’s story all the more compelling. Nyla takes her time with this book, really laying the groundwork, meticulously developing these characters and cultivating their relationship in such a way you can’t help but feel 100% invested. Avi, the laid back artist and Kyran, the dedicated football star could not be more different. But it’s ultimately these differences that enable them each to grow and discover different parts of themselves. The love story is beautiful and swoon-worthy, but it’s the personal growth and evolution of these characters that really made this book stand out for me. In addition to being a super spicy and beautifully written love story, For the Fans is a book about self-discovery and healing from trauma. And Nyla captures it all with her emotive and captivating writing that will have you falling hard and fast for Avi and Kyran. A few other highlights from this book, For the Fans has some pretty incredible side characters (looking at you Frankie and Guty!) and I’m hoping Nyla gives us more from this crew! Also, Nyla’s football fanaticism really shines through with the level of detail making this book a true sports romance! I cannot say enough amazing things about this book and these characters. This book was recommended to me as a starting point. It’s a beautiful coming of age and coming out of the dog story. Not exactly coming out of the closet as neither of them were really HIDING their sexuality but Avi didn’t realize the more it and Ky had been taught to hide it. It was so beautiful to watch these two grow as people but more so grow together and fall in love. Avi’s best friend helped them open the door to their connection, the adult content website helped push the door open more. It helped Avi show Ky his feelings while Ky came to terms with his. This book is deep and angsty and not at all a light and fluffy book. It also deals with some HEAVY emotional things regarding adult content abuse and how it triggered emotional abuse from Ky’s family. I adored how Ky opted to deal with everything after their Rose Bowl win FOR THE MOST PART. Avi being as understanding as he was Ky could have told him that he needed to work through his trauma by taking some time away from reality instead of Ghosting him for a while. This book sat on my TBR list for way too long! Ky and Avi may have started as rival stepbrothers, but their story was so much more. Steamy, suspenseful, angsty, sweet. They are the whole package. They have some of the best chemistry I've ever read. If you're on the fence about this book, DIVE IN. It is everything it's promised to be. (Read TWs if you have issues with abuse.) ... show more

As more money and comments come in with every video they post lines start to blur and boundaries are crossed. “For the fans” soon becomes more. 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: This is my first stepbrother romance and all I have to say is HOLY SHIIIIT! I could not get enough of this book even though it is 400+ pages it wasn't long enough for me. This book has it all spice, angst, humor, love, tension, and so much more. The characters are so loveable and have some of the best character developments I've ever read. Kyran starts out as a grumpy football player who is just a total brute and can't stand Avi but Avi’s carefree, happy personality eventually wins him over and melts Kyrans harsh facade.
