Description

One day, Ray is an overburdened young man, the next, he is ready to mate. Raymond Halley is used to doing his duty to his family; he’s helped raise his younger siblings since his Dad died in a freak accident when he was thirteen. But when he presents as a rare male omega, he is asked for something he’s not sure he can give; to take on five alpha mates and have children with them. Feeling stripped of his masculinity and his freedom all in one go, Ray retreats into his mind even as his body’s new instincts allow him to go through with what must be done. But as his family grows, he cannot help but slowly realize the five men who are now his partners don’t want just his body, but his happiness too. In the end, can he be brave enough to open his heart? “Omega for the Pack” is the first book in The Stars of the Pack series, an emotional rollercoaster and coming-of-age story featuring explicit relationships between men, powerful instincts, and the healing that only comes from deep transformation. If you enjoy dark romance, you'll love N.J. Lysk's "Omega For The Pack". Buy now for group sex, mating instincts, knotting, biting, breeding, and a healthy dose of angst! Read more

  • Shifters
Format: Kindle
4.5 stars. Werewolf shifters in England feature in this first book in a series. Ray presents as omega, triggering a new pack with five alphas. Last developed these six very different characters as the plot moves through pregnancy and birth. The shifter aspects follow conventional tropes, with omega Ray's challenges coloring much of the narrative. The pack lands in Lancashire are forest, with little human or town involvement. Alphas copulation with their omega in multiple contortions on a frequent basis. An interesting read and concept that leaves me curious to follow the story. ... show more

  • A tad too much whining?
Format: Kindle
Well-written, but the hero omega of the story does tend to feel sorry for himself ... all the time. No exceptions. It's a good plotline, and each of the five alphas has an individual personality which is a big plus, and so rarely happens in books where there are multiple main characters. The story lacked warmth. Understandable, I guess, because of the Omega resenting what he has been thrown into, but I would have thought there would have been cute little descriptions of playful wolf furball babies to lessen the angst. Though this story ends on a reasonable note, I can see the follow-up story might be equally as full of whining. ... show more

  • I don't know how I feel
Format: Kindle
*****trigger warning dub con and non con******* The book wasn't bad however, if you're looking for hea this isn't it. This is literally a depressed omega through the whole book. This isn't a love story. This is literally an omega put in a situation that has no say to what he is going through which comes the depression. Maybe one or two alphas out five try(and i say this as I cringe because I am not sure effort was put into it.) to be considerate. The story is interesting enough to have read the whole thing but not sure I want to continue with the series. Also left with a cliffhanger. I usually don't mind cliffhangers but I feel at this point the characters aren't redeemable. After what the omega felt ( though he also got me mad because he didn't speak up. I know depression's moment) and the Alphas were just about marking the omega and kept saying it was to protect him. ... show more

  • not what I was expecting, in a bad way
Format: Kindle
I think the author was working through some stuff when this was written. I’ve read some pretty “dark” dark romance. To me, this book comes off more SA that just continues throughout the book. At NO POINT is it written as though the MC is mentally or emotionally into or happy about what is being done to their body. ... show more

  • Unforseen collateral
Format: Kindle
The omegaverse can be a different place, but it's always interesting. Even women in our universe have trouble excepting a pregnancy, but imagine being a male (sure you'll be an alpha) and then presenting as an omega. Even though his body craves the intimacy, his mind can't let go of the shame he feels. Even so, he fulfills his duty as an omega and accepts his own now pack. As much as his alpha's long for their Omega's happiness, there is still a long road ahead, even after he becomes pregnant. ... show more

  • A Good Omega
Format: Kindle
This was a pretty good read. Ray grew up thinking he would be an alpha but when he presents as an omega instead his whole world his turned upside down. Male omegas are rare so instead of one mate he is given 5 to start a new pack. I had a love hate relationship with Ray he took it out on his mates Josh was his friend they grew up together and he had feelings for him. Alec who is a doctor Gabriel who was a distant cousin Iesu and Sergi are all his alphas and they all tried there best not to hurt him, but Ray was in denial of his situation. Ray didn't know a lot about omegas he thought that he had to be submissive and he wasn't he thought they would force sex on him. When they all mated him he tried to put it out of his mind when he knew he was pregnant and Alec tried to talk to him about it he wasn't opened to hearing what he had to say and I wanted to shake him because he wouldn't listen to what anyone had to say. The sex scenes were hot. This book was not as dark as I thought it would be. This was my first time reading this author and this is a new series to me. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. ... show more

  • decent story, but needs editing
Format: Kindle
This was a really great story about a rare male omega and the 5 male alphas who mate with him to create a new pack. There is a lot of angst as Ray, the omega, comes to terms with his unexpected fate. The issue is this book really could have used another pass or two from the eyes of an editor. There were so many glaring mistakes that it was hard to read . ... show more

  • WOW!! So Good!!
Format: Kindle
Well written story and well developed characters! He always assumed that he would be an alpha when he grew up! But he presented as an Omega!! He is so shocked! And then he was immediately told that he would be the start of a new pack! His mates were already chosen and he didn't have a choice!
