Great new Verse

Wow, great take on the Omega verse. very different from what is out there in droves. I was so taken with Ray and the plight he was thrown into and had no way out. I cried for him and his losses, mostly for the loss of his sense of self. I would have liked to see more fire from him, telling his Alphas what really was going on emotionally with him. Typical guy to kept it all inside. I was hoping for a HEA but I suppose his new way of life would make that unreachable and unrealistic. Hope he finds his way in the next books however the descriptions tend to not go in that direction. I understand this author has left this genre to write in others. Too bad as this was very well written and did not have the awful typos and poorly written format. Overall, very enjoyable though heavy emotionally. Enough of this, I am off to purchase the series. Good not great, plus typos

The story was good and engaging, but it felt like it ended mid-story. Ray was so angry and overwhelmed, and that made him an interesting character, but I never got the payout of him truly feeling connected with his alphas. Maybe the actual ending was a more realistic ending, but that wasn't the one I was craving. Plus, there were a bunch of grammatical errors that drove me up the wall. Overall, a very interesting concept with the 3-dimensional character of Ray. But it didn't give resolution, and I didn't feel like I really knew the alphas fully. Maybe it works as a teaser for the rest of the series, but my irritation makes me second guess whether I want to commit to reading another of Lysk's books ... show more

Wasn't wowed, it was "okay"

This was alright for my first omegaverse read. I write this kind of thing in my spare time, so it kind of read like some prose I'd write. I don't think I'll read the rest inquisitive, but maybe for fun, f I purchase them.

4.5 stars. Werewolf shifters in England feature in this first book in a series. Ray presents as omega, triggering a new pack with five alphas. Last developed these six very different characters as the plot moves through pregnancy and birth. The shifter aspects follow conventional tropes, with omega Ray's challenges coloring much of the narrative. The pack lands in Lancashire are forest, with little human or town involvement. Alphas copulation with their omega in multiple contortions on a frequent basis. An interesting read and concept that leaves me curious to follow the story. ... show more

Why’s we tack that ending on?

Spoilers…… Look, you cannot fill a book with non-consensual sex and then significantly resolve the main character’s feelings in the last few pages. I know the author didn’t want to completely put off the readers, but in order for this to feel natural there should have been more book, or the resolution should have waited until the next book. As it is, it doesn’t feel like contentment, it feels like resignation, and it’s terribly uncomfortable. ... show more

WOW!! So Good!!

Well written story and well developed characters! He always assumed that he would be an alpha when he grew up! But he presented as an Omega!! He is so shocked! And then he was immediately told that he would be the start of a new pack! His mates were already chosen and he didn't have a choice!
