  • Good entry level lavalier microphone
Style: New Packaging
I've used a variety of entry-level lavalier microphones under $100 and most of them seem to offer similar characteristics. The sound is usually boxy, flat, with some of the very cheap ones barely better than recording directly from using a mobile phone. This Shure lavalier is definitely one of the better ones I've tested. The sound is still a little boxy and usable directly, but my recommendation would be to fine tune your recording with some sort of EQ processing app afterwards to get the most out of it. Otherwise as is, the build quality feels nice, no interference using Rode Wireless Go or DJI Mic transmitters, and the recording quality is superior to cheaper alternatives. My preference in this range however still goes toward the Rode Wireless Go and Lavalier 2 microphones for a little more brightness. ... show more

  • I use with my DJI mic wireless
Style: New Packaging
Bought these to use with my DJI mic wireless lab system. I’ve read reviews and this mic was the best for it. Wasn’t disappointed. I’ve tried the rode lav mic on the dji mic and it was too much hum. This Shure mic works great.

  • Good sound, small capsule, light on accessories.
Style: New Packaging
I bought this for use with the DJI Mic, and I'm mostly happy with it. Cable is just the right length, very flexible, and has a nicely sized small capsule with fitted foam cap. Accessory wise, it comes with a bag, and a single clip. That's it. You can find cheaper kits with more accessories. I would have hoped for at least a spare foam cap, as those tend to get lost, regardless how careful you may be. ... show more

  • Compatibility with Rode and another common pro-sumer products.
Style: New Packaging
This doesn’t work with the Rode Wireless Go 2 mics and receivers. Unfortunately compatibility is not advertised too well. But quite a good product if you purchase an TRRS to TRS adapter. However I would recommend the Rode Lav Go’s for perfect compatibility.

  • Good sound, but flimsy cord
Style: New Packaging
Voice recorded with this microphone is crisp and clean and better sounding than a cheap off-brand I had to send back. Works as advertised with phones and tablets with a 3.5mm trrs audio jack. Can connect to computers and other devices with the proper adapter. Works well with my laptop PC using a trrs to trs adapter attached to the microphone input. Just be aware that not all third-party adapters work as advertised or with trrs plugs. Output level is a little low when connected to a computer without automatic gain control (AGC), compared to the cheap unit I had to replace. However, was able to compensate for the lower output with my computer's sound card control. Knocking off one star because the cord is quite flimsy and doesn't look like it will last long. Expected better for the price and a from a company with the history and track record that Shure has. ... show more

  • Not for podcasts
Style: New Packaging
The quality of audio is really poor for the price.

  • Meh
Style: New Packaging
I’ve used many microphones in the past before and this isn’t worth the money. It does not connect straight to a camera (I use a Sony alpha 6400), I had to connect it to my phone and record audio externally. Other mics are easier to use because it connects straight to the camera and you don’t have to sync audio in post. The chord is very cheap and flimsily, I feel I can break it if I yank it too hard. Also it’s very short. ... show more
