I have tried what seems like hundreds of different pillows - memory foam, memory gel, feather down, polyester fill, solid piece of memory foam, bamboo, combination of bamboo and polyester foam - well, you get the idea. I didn’t have a lot of faith that this one would be any different. I just wanted a decent night’s sleep. However, from the first night the difference was very noticeable and in a surprisingly wonderful way. I will start with the outer cover (there are actually 2 outer covers. They seem to be very well made of quality material. Both have zippers that are completely long enough to do whatever you need to do. One side of the very outer cover is made of a material that stays cool all night (I’m over 60 and totally love this feature) the other side is that of an extremely nice pillow (my husband’s favorite side to sleep on). You can actually make this pillow as firm or soft as you desire. You simply add or take out filling at your discretion - the more filling, the firmer the pillow; the less filling, the softer the pillow. Not 100% sure, but I thought I saw bags of just the filling on Amazon. My husband prefers an almost flat, soft pillow (so much so that he was quite reluctant to part with his several years old and tattered pillow and kept telling me not to throw it away and keep the packaging for the return because he was sure the new pillow wouldn’t work for him) so I removed about 1/2 - 2/3 of the filling in his pillow and he absolutely loves it. Also, getting the filling out of the pillow and inserting it in another was a piece of cake. I like the opposite, very fluffy and firm. I slept on the pillow as it came for a couple of nights and was quite happy but couldn’t resist adding more filler to see what happened (the filler I removed from the other pillow). I think I died and went to heaven. This pillow is so comfortable and supportive with the added bonus of having a cool pillow all night, I fall asleep easier and actually go into the deep ‘REM’ sleep sooner, which definitely makes getting up much easier.     • Almost a dream come true

I have recently been trying to replace my pillow. I started waking up with some neck pain which I believe is impart to the pillow losing its firmness. My concern with pillow shopping was that I would be losing out on my pillow's cooling gel side. I normally sleep pretty warm. I decided to give this and a COOP pillow a try. Both are advertised as bamboo-based which is supposed to be more breathable. The difference is this one had a gel side. So far I haven't woken up too warm. While the "gel" side is initially noticeable, that only lasts for about 30 seconds before it has matched your body temperature. The materials used in the construction of this pillow are good quality. The COOP pillow (5x the price!) in my opinion feels nearly identical. The foam is slightly different between the two. I ended up having to take out about a gallon bag worth of foam in this pillow for my neck to align properly. Overall I would say this is well worth it! ... show more

This pillow is the best!! You can customize it to your comfort level. My husband likes his as is but i took some of the filling out. It was super easy to do. I did put an extra pillow case on mine and i could still feel the cooling effects. I haven't slept so well in years. Yes, it does have a strong smell when its brand new, out of the box. Follow the directions included. I let mine air out for a few days without the pillow case. I washed the case it came with and also fluffed the pillow in the dryer. ... show more

King size Qutool is on the left, after fluffing and sleeping on it, it’s not very full or firm, had to basically fold it in half to get the needed support. Ordered the Nestl on the right, king size, very full and firm, didn’t need extra fluffing, basically expanded on its own like a Life Raft after opening it. We saw the Nestl at a friend’s house but bought the Qutool because it had a coupon, then ended up buying the Nestl anyway because it met our needs. Seller is working with me to send free fill for the Qutool. I may update pending the receipt of more fill. See the picture and buy accordingly. Update: after contacting the seller and requesting more fill for the pillow, I had to send pics of the pillow and the tag showing the batch number, and they sent me two free bags of fill for the pillow. I received the pillow February 27, contacted the seller for more filling and answered their questions, received the fill today March 14. Updated my review to 5 stars from 3 stars. I’m satisfied.     • Clever idea to have a pillow within a pillow!

This was the solution to my pillow problems!! Every pillow I tried was either too hard or too soft, I would open them up and take some stuffing out. This is genius to put the zippered pillow inside a cooling outer covering. I really like it and it's a bargain at this price. I paid over $70 for my Columbia ice pillow which is now selling for more like $90! I recommend this one and I have many pain issues including osteoarthritis, RA and cervical disc problems! ... show more
