i needed a simple light kit for a video project i'm working on. this one totally fit the bill. the soft boxes are fantastic and the umbrellas work exactly as you'd expect. i also like the different colors available inside the umbrellas. the ability to warm up a scene using just the lighting saved me a lot of time in post. the stands themselves are a tad on the flimsy side, but strong enough to support what they are holding. you will need to also purchase some extension cords, and probably a power strip, as the cords for the lights aren't super long. but all in all, this is a great starter kit! ... show more

This lighting kit has made a world a difference in my product photography for online reselling. It takes some time to put together, but everything is good quality. Lights don't seem bright when looking at them, but makes photos looks amazing! Well worth the money.

Set up frame no problem. Not super sturdy but infront of a wall, it'll work great. Did have to use the black sheet under the white one because they are very thin & see through. One light bulb didn't work but umbrella set ups were great. I would recommend to any beginner. Just wish it came with instructions or examples of use for all the equipment. Timely delivery. Packaged well. I'll just need to get a bigger carrying bag or case because it's not as east to fit everything back in the box. ... show more

The lights are ok. However, This stands and the material that the product is made out of is poor in quality and breaks easily.

Setup is SO easy, parts are all easily identifiable (I went through and marked the ones that weren’t marked when I first opened the box and was making sure everything was there to make it faster next time). I had been pricing photographers for Christmas and 2nd birthday pictures of my little guy. Holy. Crap. I bought this lighting and backdrop setup along with three backdrops for half the price of any of the photographers quotes. I took out Christmas photos and no one could believe they weren’t professional (until I showed them the outtakes haha!!) Now I’m going to start doing photographs for family and friends for a fraction of the cost of anyone else around and eventually hope to grow my portfolio and client list into a full time business.
