I gotta tell you about this super awesome thing I recently got for my shower – the 20-Stage Shower Filter with Spin Propeller! This shower filter has something called a "Spin Propeller." I know it sounds all technical and stuff, but basically, it's this cool gadget that makes the water flow all spinny and stuff. Why does that matter? Well, it's because it ensures that every single drop of water gets in touch with the filter material for a longer time. That means it can do its job of removing all the nasty stuff like chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, and icky sediments. Imagine, no more chlorine in your shower water! It's a whole twenty stages of filtration goodness. They've got all these fancy-sounding materials like granular activated carbon, PP cotton, ceramic balls, calcium sulfite, and more(I have no idea what that is, but it sounds impressive). These stages work together to purify the water and make it super clean and healthy. And get this, it even does mineralizing, vitamin infusing, and oxidizing stuff to make your skin all soft and your hair all shiny. I've noticed a huge difference in my skin and hair since I started using this filter. My skin feels so much smoother, and my hair is less frizzy. Plus, I've heard it can help your hair color last longer and keep it looking super glossy. Okay, so I was a bit worried when I first heard about this shower filter. I mean, I love a good high-pressure shower, and I didn't want anything messing with that. But guess what? That Spin Propeller I keep talking about? It keeps the water pressure up, so you still get that amazing, powerful shower experience. Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "This sounds awesome, but I'm not exactly a DIY expert." Well, don't worry, because neither am I! The installation of this shower filter is like, totally easy-peasy, and it doesn't require any tools or a plumber. All you need is a standard 1/2" thread type shower arm, and you're good to go. Just rinse the shower filter, remove your old shower head, wrap some Teflon tape (which they even provide), lay the rubber gasket flat, and screw on the new filter. Boom! You're done. Oh, and one more thing – before you start using it, make sure to flush the filter under a faucet for about 5-10 minutes to get rid of any carbon dust build-up. I like being wrong on assumptions. I figured that this was just an enhanced charcoal can with basic activated charcoal pellets, especially as the water did that black dust purge thing for the first 5 minutes. But hey. After a month, wife says her hair feels so much better and there is a lot less scum every week in the shower with the same usage. Now the filter isn't layered or anything. Screen, felt, bead mix with charcoal chunks and some metal bits, felt. Beads break up into a powder when crushed, so are something? But hey. Happy wife = happy life. Built with an aerator on the intake that passes to the spinny thing, (I don't know if this actually works in practice, but does spin), to the filter, sealed in place with silicone gaskets on all touching faces that seal it in the outer can as well as the can itself, forcing the water only to pass through the filter. Water pressure is a touch lower, but functional. However, the outer can is a big ol chongus. Bigger than 2 large adult male's fist. Definitely harder to mount in closer spaces and adds about 6 inches to the tap length and adds that much water weight when running. I cracked my (cheaply made) standing shower testing this as the tap was just back clamped to the fiberglass and the extra weight was not withstood. ... show more
