Ok, so thanks to the lockdown from the Covid19, I had to quit going to the gym and start running outdoors on pretty much a daily basis again - 3 miles per day. And of course I found that I was not thrilled with the shock absorption on my Asics which have a gel heel but my model does not have a gel forefoot feature, so that is where my support was lacking. So I ordered all 3 insole types below in hopes of finding the ones that felt the best. By the way, I've been running off and on since the mid-70's on my cross country team and then a 10K or 2 most years, so lots of shoes and running experience. So here are the ones I tested and my net feelings for each (all had good reviews on Amazon): X-Muscle $30 - Overhyped. Perhaps some fake reviews here. Decent support but nothing special. About equal to the Dr. Scholl's below so save the money! Forefoot support decent but thin so not what I was seeking. Dr. Scholl's Running $13 - big name in the industry. Basic and better than what you get in your name brand running shoes. Good thick heel support . Thin forefoot support even though there is supposedly some gel support there. I'll use these some but was not thrilled. These Insoles $9 - I don't even know what brand these are but they did have good reviews here and were cheap so I tried them. So you guessed it, these felt better than the other 2 pairs. Soft, yet comfortable and providing good support where needed after my 3 mile test run. Better forefoot cushioning than the other 2. Very decent heel support as well. Most comfortable and no pain during or after the run. I cannot tell you how well these will wear over the long haul vs the other 2 brands but I can tell you my experience on my first run with these was better than the other 2. So netting it out, I suggest you start with these and see how you like them. They're the cheapest and feel really good and provide excellent cushioning. If they hold up more than a couple of months then you got your money's worth for sure. So lesson learned - unlike my wife's philosophy - the most expensive is NOT always the best. That's why I keep an open mind...

Great Birkenstock dupe. I loved my Birks and they lasted me 20 years before falling apart. However, with teenagers and their expensive taste - I usually by myself dupes. These are a great and affordable dupe and actually comfortable unlike many I have tried. I normally wear a 7.5-8, ordered the 8 and it’s perfect.

These memory foam inserts are quite thick but very comfortable. Unfortunately they're so thick it certainly requires removing the thin inserts some shoes come with.. Even then, there is a high chance you're feet will be squashed up against the insider-upper part of your shoe.. Maybe if you have boots which are a size or more too large, these could be good to fill in the gap.

11/26/23 update. I just ordered 2 more pair on black Friday sale. Still loving these, see the new pic I uploaded. They seem to hold up for 3 to 6 months depending of course on how much I wear the shoes. Some of you may get a shorter life span if you walk a lot or jog. Now day, if I am going to buy new shoes a pair of these insoles come with me so I can size the shoes to fit my foot with the blue insoles. As of now these are prefect. As perfect as a simple product can be anyway. I have a lot of experience in manufacturing and I could not do better if I designed and made them myself. So to me that means they are good as it gets. I am sure there are other great insoles out there but at what cost? 3 or 4 times what these sell for? This is why these are perfect because your not going to get near this value/price point anywhere else. I will be a faithful customer for the rest of my life as long as they don't change these. There is no way to improve them so please don't try. ---/original review below/--- Ordered on may 6th and it is June 2nd now so decent amount of time on them. I got to say these are great so far. I like value and that is what you get with these insoles. Only way I could get better ones is, go to foot doctor and have custom insoles made for what, 1000 bucks by the time it is all done... No, not doing that. I'd buy these even if they only lasted 30 days, but it seems that are doing fine at almost 30 days and still have their cushion. I have high arches and need thicker insoles with as much arch support as I can get. These do that job pretty darn well. Drop in fit for my New Balance Men's 481 V3 size 12 shoes. Bottom line - I love these and I'm buying an extra few pairs just in case this company stops selling them or changes them or raises the price. ...

I work 12 hour shifts and needed some new insoles in my go to work shoes. A coworker recommended these and now I have re-purchased them a couple of times. They’re easy to cut. I like to use my old insoles to draw the pattern so it fits. They’re also very comfortable, my feet don’t hurt and the end of the shift with these insoles in my go to shoes. Two thumbs up.
