  • Awesome Tire, Awesome Price!
So far I have 5,000 miles on this tire, I've ridden country, city (San Francisco) mountain roads rain and shine and this tire has been one of the best tires I've ever had the pleasure of owning. It handles superbly, it grips really well while at the same time provides a much quieter ride than the Michelin commanders that were on my bike previously. I was planning to wait till it was time to replace these tires to review but will instead update this review when I do that. A little background on tire wear, my bike weighs 900 lbs and I'm 200lbs with about 30-40 lbs of cargo almost every day and I ride very aggressively. i fully expect to get at least 10,000 miles out of these tires, I will be buying these again! Also note that the sr777 are Shinko's heavy duty tire, each tire is rated for 900lbs which is better than most other tires of this size. ... show more

  • Fit my bike.
Been riding for 50 years and never used a Shinko. Couldn't find the right size I needed so I tried this one. I was leaving on a long ride and wanted to start with a fresh tire so this was my last choice. However it worked great and gave me a good ride. I have 5,500 miles on it at the time of this review. I've been through 7 hours of rain, with a 40-105 temps and have had not problems. I'll be ordering one again soon as I like to keep a tire handy. I have it mounted on a Yamaha Royal Star touring bike. I can't speak of what milage you might get but looking at the tire now I expect it to be in line with others I've used. ... show more

  • Satisfied customer.
Great price and good looking tire. 05/08/20, I have it on the rear of an 05 Vmax 1200. It's mounted and balanced with no problems. It's speed rated to130 mph. It corners well has great traction on wet pavement and runs tight in corners. I only have 1,000 miles on it now. Update, 11/09/20 Shinko 777 Now has 5,000 miles with regular aggressive acceleration and still plenty of tread left. Update, 04/16/21 777 now has 8,000 on rear of Vmax 1200. Tire still looks fair and running hard. ... show more

  • So far so good
I noticed a tremendous handling improvement on my first ride. My old tire (Avon Cobra) had 17k miles on it doing mostly country road cruising so the old tire was pretty flat across the top. I seem to recall the same improvement when I put those on. Nevertheless, I am very happy with the handling and a bonus - the tires seem to ignore tar snakes. It’s cool out but I still feel an improvement. ... show more

  • Good traction for Royal Star Tour Deluxe
A couple years ago, I bought a new bike with original tires on it. Not sure I was going to keep the bike, I replaced the 15-year-old oem tires with Shinko Tourmasters. They were excellent tires but did not last too long. So I decided to try the 777 HD tires; these are modestly more expensive than the Tourmasters and I got a couple thousand more miles out of the rear tire. The picture shows the rear tire with about 6,300 miles. My bike, a Royal Star Tour Deluxe, weighs about 850 pounds and my riding weight, dressed, is about 250. I have no complaints about the 777 HDs - the tires offered good grip and traction on all surfaces. I’d buy them again, however, I decided to mount a pair of Michelin Commander IIs and try them out. The Michelins are significantly more expensive but may prove worth the extra $$ if the claims of high mileage wear are true. I always like new tires but since I change them myself, don’t enjoy the process of putting them on. ... show more

  • Motorcycle tires
These are great tires for the money. The guy at the shop who installed them said I did great picking them out for my spouse. I had a little help from my son who is also a cyclist. They’re a gray value and arrived so quickly!
