Bought this for a last minute salmon fishing trip. Really like this one. I may replace my other reel with another one of these. Very smooth and the bar locks fully out of the way so that it doesn't reset during a cast. I have had reels that cost twice as much that I didn't like as much.

I have a Penn Pursuit 3000c with 8 lbs braid and a friend has the exact pole but has the Shimano Sedona c5000xg with 10 lbs braid. Using the same Kastmaster 3/4 oz lure I can cast his pole at least another 75 feet further. That's why I' buying it, besides the buttery, silky smooth operation and overall better product. Im willing to pay more for a much better product ... show more

It is an excellent reel, but unlike a Diwia, it has no release button for line bale to cast. Wish they would offer that, but it works fine when you adjust to manual release.

    • It's a best reel for the money.
I brought this reel because I recognized the company logo from bicycle parts I know it a well known quality brand. I just brought the 4000, and the 8000 reel from shimano.

Lo que más me agrado es el freno potente, la suavidad y muy liviano. Lo que NO me gustó es que se afloja la tuerca que ajusta la manija y que ni suena mucho la bobina. Le doy un 6/10 calidad vs precio.
