These reels seem to be as high quality as it gets. Feather light, slow oscillation lays the line on the spool so nice and even, stop and go operation with the handle is effortless, and the drag clicker is nice and crisp. I also think that Shimano really hit it out of the park with the aesthetics, this is one sharp looking reel. I own two, one 3000 and one 4000 size. Currently, I am using the 4000 size and it is a pleasure to fish with, smooth and light. These reels are worth their price tag considering the quality and technologies Shimano put in these reels. I paired this reel with a St. Croix Avid 6’6” med/fast with 8 pound suffix elite, to catch hybrid bass. I own: Vanford 2500, Stradic Ci4, Complex XR F6 2500, and this reel by far feels the most refined when reeling.
