I was a little skeptical of this back massager from hlthsky but it mostly performs well! The rotating nodes along the back and in the neck massager do a good job of hitting those pressure points. The heat and vibrating functions are relaxing and really help to recreate the feel of a dedicated massage chair. I found that putting a thin cushion behind the nodes helps to adjust the intensity of the massage for those times when it you don't need the full effect. I only wish that the controls would allow me to use the neck massage function without a back massage mode also active.

I've tried several of these heated back massagers, as well as going so far as to buy a zero gravity massage chair. But to be honest, I could've saved a lot of money by purchasing this hlthsky shiatsu neck and back massager. The way this works is unreal. It really gets into my back and works out the tight muscles. The heat feels great as well. I put this on my office chair and let it go to town. It has three different modes for massage being all over the back, or just across the top or just lumbar. The heat mode has three heat settings, and a fixed position mode, which causes it to stop after each up and down and then go through the cycle again. I actually prefer it to do a continuous loop through my massage. If you have any bone disorders you may want to speak with your doctor before using it because it is a brisk massage. You can even use it for trouble spots, for example, your thigh, hip or even a sore arm. This is so versatile for just about any body ache. It plugs in, and also has a carrying handle so you can take it from work to home, or room to room. This is the best back massager I've even owned and definitely think it's worth the cost.

I love this back and neck massager so much. I've tried many gadgets to help relieve the pain that comes from being active and ignoring my scoliosis, and most of the time they give the relief of someone giving me a back rub and not necessarily a therapeutic effect. This massager is like a firm pillow that stays put where I want it and can be flipped to either hit my lower / middle back or my upper and neck areas. There are two oscillating circles within the mesh fabric that have individual nodes and they feel amazing rotating across sore areas. I used to have an open oscillating tool that would twist my shirt, but this one doesn't have that problem because of the covering. I use it on the automatic setting that comes on when you press the power button, but it also has a vibrate setting that can be added, or a heat setting as well. I also love that I can use it plugged directly into the wall and not have to charge it, and that it has a carrying handle on the back since I take this thing all over the house with me and basically use it whenever I'm going to be sitting.

I’ve been working from home for over a decade now so it’s not surprising that my neck and shoulders often feel like they’re in knots. I can’t always get to the chiropractor or my massage therapist (nor can I always afford them, truth be told…) so I’m always looking for tools to get me through those lean times. This is a pillow-shaped massage unit; the shiatsu-style kneading is fair and helps ease some of the tension - although no mechanical device is ever going to replace my wonderful massage therapist, LOL. I like it that I can use this just about anywhere - not only is it portable but it can work on my neck, back, arms, legs - especially that pesky knot that’s been lurking in my left calf muscle. The idea of adding heat is very appealing but I guess I like it warmer than most so it’s a bit disappointing in that regard. As mentioned by others the cord is too short and it would be nice if there were more time limits It seems sturdy and well-made and is smaller than a similar unit I ordered from another brand. The current list price makes this an excellent investment - much cheaper than a massage by an actual human, LOL! Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful.

I’m hoping this back massager holds up better than my previous one by the same brand. I had one that was a little cheaper, but the plug-in BROKE within a month. I could have found another one I’m sure, but I was just mad about So far so good with this one. It feels amazing on my sore neck and back. I have arthritis/spondylitis issues, and this helps me go to bed without pain. I’m also waking up with less stiffness! It’s super easy to use (never even read the instructions) and fits in my recliner or computer chair perfectly. I’m serenity could use it other places too. It kneads and rubs my back like those chairs at the pedicure salons! Awesome. The power is stronger than my last one, so this is definitely an upgrade. Better than little half sized massagers or neck ones, too. I’d say it’s totally worth the investment and also makes a thoughtful gift! I’ll be using this all the time after my surgery when my back is sore!

This is about the price of a heating pad, so for that reason, because it's reasonable, I'm giving it a four star rating. I have better back massagers, but they cost double or triple what this one does. This is basically a lumbar massager, unless you flip it up and put it up under your neck. I didn't find that comfortable, so it will be used strictly as a lumber massager. The massage itself is basically rotating "fingers" that don't do much other than go round and round. The vibration was useless, since I had to lean back in order to feel it, and that was uncomfortable. The vibration is near the top of the unit if the massaging part is at the bottom. The cord, IMO, is way too short. It has a 15 minute timer, which is probably long enough considering the massage rotation is the same, without any variation or different styles. Well, there is a change for strength, but I didn't feel much of a difference between 1 and 2, and 3 sounded louder. There's also the "bulb," which allows you to puff up the unit itself. I needed to squeeze the bulb completely (took some hand strength) and after about 6 or 8 squeezes, it no longer allowed me to squeeze any more. I could feel the back getting larger, somewhat, and when I pressed the release valve I felt it go back down. This may be a gimmicky type of feature, as I didn't find it useful. My husband has lumbar issues, and he felt this was helpful without being painful. Will get use out of it, I'll stick with my more expensive massagers.
