Description

The ShelterLogic 10’ x 20’ GrowIT Greenhouse-in-a-Box with Easy Flow Vents is ready to build right out of the box. This easy access greenhouse delivers quality construction, easy assembly, and best-in-class value. Constructed from a 1-3/8” tubular high-grade steel frame, the greenhouse provides protection and a natural light source to your plants, herbs, and flowers. The steel frame has a premium powder coat protective finish to help resist chipping, peeling, rust, and corrosion. ShelterLock steel stabilizers add strength and stability to your greenhouse frame for a more durable plant shelter. Made from ClearView, a triple-layer heat bonded ripstop fabric, the cover is 5. 5 oz thick, waterproof, and has been UV-treated inside and out. The translucent greenhouse cover provides enhanced illumination, which is ideal for plant growth and protection. The Easy Flow roll-up side panels provide your plants with maximum airflow and temperature control. The included bungee cord fasteners hold the sides open while the hook and loop fasteners keep the sides down. With the Easy Slide Cross Rail tensioning system, the cover is locked down for a snug fit and squares up the frame, while Ratchet-Tite tensioning provides solid cover anchoring to the frame. The double-zippered front door allows walk-in access and can be rolled up and secured to your preferred height. The front door and back rear panel both have vents to keep air circulating. The greenhouse can be assembled in about 2 hours with 2 people. When your growing demands change, this portable greenhouse can be disassembled and transported easily. 15” auger anchors are included with your greenhouse kit for easy anchoring. • Better than expected.
Size: 10' x 20'
The setup was quick and easy. The directions were sound. Many of the complaints from other reviewers seem to not be an issue. It does come with tie-downs, though they did not work for my soil type. It has plenty of bungies to secure the bottom air vents (Roll up sides.). It has survived three wind storms since setup; 20-30mph with 40mpg gusts. It took it like a champ. No rips at the seams as of yet. I did need to use all my stakes, I had several sets handy because I camp a lot. And I put a cinder block on each foot. The plastic was not as clear as I expected, however it gets excellent light and all my plants love it. The plastic is very tough, at least 6mil, woven like a tarp. I have worked with similar plastic before and it is supposed to block harmful UV and only let in the good growth spectrums. I did purchase a couple rolls of 6mil UV stabilized tape, just in case. Over all, it was worth the money just for the steel frame. It allowed me to have spring starts without driving multiple times to town to get building materials and is more sturdy than a PVC frame. It will be easy to take down and setup again, and again. Perfect for my needs. ... show more

  • Pretty Sturdy - Probably the best "mid-grade" temporary greenhouse you can get
Size: 10' x 20'
We've gone through 2 "cheaper" greenhouses from other companies that have eventually collapsed. Our need is probably a bit different than most people because we use it to protect a small Koi pond during VT winters and heavy snow easily collapses cheap shelters. So, after 2 attempts of being cheap I figured I'd give this model a try because it uses much larger steel tubes (1-3/8" vs 3/4"). The end result seems to be fairly sturdy and I have higher hopes for this one compared to past experiences. I wish I could find a model that uses tubing with thicker steel walls, but something like that eludes me and no doubt the steel makes up the bulk of the cost, so anything better would be more expensive. Assembly can be a little confusing - there are a multitude of different steel tubing parts that look very similar and they are identified by rubber-stamped numbers... But many of the stamps are unclear and rather than easy 1, 2, 3 etc these are all 6 digit numbers like 100673 and 100643 - they can be hard to identify the correct part and I have no doubt what smudged marking exists now will fade away by the time we need to disassemble the structure (I plan on remarking all the parts with a paint pen). It's a good idea to spend a few minutes to organize all the parts on the ground with cardboard identifying the part numbers so you can locate the correct parts more easily. But other than that, the instructions are fairly clear and I wasn't missing any hardware. You will definitely need 2 or perhaps even 3 people at times to assemble this thing - it's big, tall and very heavy (which I guess is a good thing). The included ground stakes are very nice, they drill down into the earth nearly 18" and the ratchet strap hardware makes everything very secure - a big improvement over past experiences with cheaper products. Overall I would definitely recommend this greenhouse - it's a step up in robustness from the cheaper alternatives and well designed. ... show more

  • Great Value For The Money
Size: 10' x 20'
Bought this unit August 2020. We live in Texas so the summers are brutal and it is in direct sun all day. It has held up well. We have had a couple of heavy ice / snow storms and again held up well. It is made for more of a grow house not necessarily a green house for growing / storing plants during the winter. The end sections are not long enough to seal off the unit so we had to tape on plasice pieces on the bottoms to make them long enough to seal off from the ground. Also the unit itself where the ends and the top come together don't totally seal so the use of some waterproof duct tape helps with that. Also where the straps are attached to the end pieces start to tear easily. Again the tape takes care of that. At the end of this summer, 2023, the top started to tear from the brutal sun exposure. I ordered a new cover and just installed it today. I put it over the old one so very easy instalation and giving a little more insulation for the upcoming winter. Overall very happy with the unit. With constant care the unit will last another three years easily. Jjust purchased another unit for my overflow plants, 10 x 10. ... show more

  • Good amature greenhouse, cheap, and easily modifilable.
Size: 10' x 20'
I waited to do a review because I saw this had a few bad reviews due to quality and I wanted to let mine make it through a grow season. It was not easy to put up by myself because there are tons of pieces, but when you get it up and stake it down it isn't that bad, overall it took me maybe 6 or 8 hours solo. So far it has made it through a few major storms, lots of high winds and it has been fine. I should add that I added extra support by building a door on the end opening and chain link fence around the sides, with steel posts zip tied to the frame, this secured the greenhouse and made it much more stable. The only thing I wish they would have changed was to allow the sides to go all the way up, instead of just the little flaps on the side. Debating on buying two more for next year, so they are decent. ... show more

  • Starter greenhouse
Size: 10' x 20'
The good: seriously sturdy, holds up great. I did throw down a good ton of sand leftover from making a kids sandbox under the area and sink in leftover chunks of pt 2x4 under each foot and then clamp them to the board and throw a few large (small head size) rocks around on a few boards. Stays nice and humid, wet walls, sides roll up easily, front and back screen vents are nice, size is good for a starter garden. The bad: took 3 people 2 days and 1 day extra to truly secure it into the sand and figure out what hardware needed to be added to make it secure. The ends do not come with any nice aluminum poles to weigh down and keep our pests like Chipmunks!!! Even though there are channels on the bottoms of both panels that poles would slide in they are not included. The door also does not come with a bottom pole. Edit update. Collapsed and ruined with the first snow. Not easy or feasible to take cover off for winter. Waste of money. Also pretty sure the material doesn't let in enough light, plants spindly and very small harvest. ... show more
