This product is great for 3c hair and it smells divine! I use it to refresh my curls. I spray my dry hair with water, then run the product through my damp hair with my fingers. It works SO GOOD. Sadly, the seller just threw the bottle into the Amazon bag with no protection and it arrived with the top loose and some product had gotten all over the inside of the bag. To be fair, I didn't lose a ton of product, just about a half inch from the top. That's not a bad on the product, but the seller. At least put Saran wrap around the bottle next time. ... show more

    • Don't be afraid if you have fine hair, this is the best!

I have fine, dense, wavy hair and have used this for many years. I know that a lot of the Shea Moisture products can be very heavy, which is the opposite of what you want with fine hair. This specific product is a notably exception. I have used it as my primary conditioner and it softens, tames flyaways and does NOT way my hair down at all, even if I put it near the roots (which I do not usually do unless I've clarified). It smells amazing, but the smell does not linger. The way I use this for medium length hair is wash, then spray three total sprays in my hands and apply to ends when my hair is still soaking wet. That's it, just three. I also use this for my three year old daughter's hair when washing to detangle her baby curls. I took a star off due to the fact the sprayer is pretty annoying. It clogs basically every time it's used and has to be cleaned or it just doesn't work, instead of spraying there are globs of conditioner that sort of fall out. I need to run it under water first each time I use it. Because I use so little, it lasts forever. They have a smaller size too and that one lasted me around 6 months, I anticipate this one will last even longer. ... show more

I like the spray pump, everyone does...but in shipping they wrapped tape all around the nozzle head & getting it off broke the top CLEAN OFF, I buy this because it distributes the product cleanly & evenly on the hair when the pump is pulled. Shipping a broken head with this goo, isn't an option. I can't find this product in stock locally. Amazon Warehouse FAIL. PLEASE ATTEMPT UR OWN PACKAGING OPENS. The product is fine. We just are using too much with the Dollar Tree Pump I had to purchase to save it. ... show more

I love Shea Msoisture products and had heard nothing but good things about this. I do like it, it is moisturizing (penetrates well), helps with frizz, and and is keeping my hair healthy. But, like others have said. It's a thick consistency and the spray nozzle doesn't work with it. I have to spray it into my hands. This def works for wavy/fine hair - it’s not particularly heavy and it’s coconut and aloe free. Marshamallow root is a really nice smoothing/de-frizzing product and it goes nicely before or married with gel. Little/mild scent that isnt persistent.
