  • Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Pens
Excellent quality - a standard for Sharpie. I'm a bit of a Sharpie snob and have recently purchased these paint pens in Red, White, Green, Yellow, and Blue - all medium tip. Tried them all out. Easy to use and apply. Shake, press tip on blotting paper a few times and they work great. The more you press the tip, the thicker the application line will be. Agree with on other reviewer who said the Red color has a bit of a pink cast to it. Used the White to highlight copier/scanner buttons (black buttons on black housing and very hard to see), used the Red and Blue on a pill dispenser whose markings had worn off - once you have them, you'll be surprised at all the ways you can use these. ... show more

  • Durable
I bought these to mark dark steel stock with the grade. They do that well. I've also used them to mark trailer tire repair locations and much to my surprise they have been very durable on the rubber.

  • PERFECT! Long lasting, don't rub off
Surpisingly I've found myself needing white sharpies more and more often especially at work, more so than regular black sharpies. So obviously, needing some for myself I went with the sharpie brand and these have been the best white 'paint markers' i've ever used for labelling things and doing touch ups. I haven't needed to spruce up the sole of my sneakers like another user had but I did touch up one or two spots out of curiousity and it does a great job cleaning things up. But again, my main purpose is labelling, the oil based paint has been a god send considering the work I do, definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Great for a couple uses
If you planning on using these every day, probably better look for something else. These write great and once you get the nib wet you can gauge how much white you'd like to use. The only problem is that once they dry a couple times they really don't write the same. So either buy a bunch, or do as much writing as you can in one sitting. Oh, and wait 10-20 minutes before touching the ink. It takes a little bit to dry so be patient. ... show more

  • Did what I hoped
I'm an electrician and used this to re identify colored wires to be the neutral wire (which is white). It works pretty good, just have to let it dry for about a minute or so. I just should of got the bigger chisel tip one, but not the products fault

  • Oozes paint in a big blob when you first start to use it
These pens are OK, but the oozing paint in a big blob every single time I start to use it is annoying. You can deal with it by pressing down on his fair piece of paper before you start.

  • Labels Looking Good
Okay, so I've never used an oil-based pen before. Be sure to read and follow the instructions so it will work. Shaking the capped pen a lot, then removing the cap and using something between your finger and the tip as you press down to let out the compressed air, and then use is a must. And don't leave it in an area that is really cold or really hot. I've been using it on all kinds of plant labels (but really like it best on the metal labels) in my home gardens and that of two professional gardens that I tend. Thus far they have been easy to use on the labels, easy to read, haven't faded and decent value. Do keep in mind that it's a medium point so takes up more space on the plant labels. Overall, I can recommend this item. ... show more

  • All White Sharpies are Good
Use them especially for painting snow scenes on clear Christmas Tree Balls. They are so easy to use and last a really long time. Leaving the top off is a disaster. It does dry up as paint surely will. Good product.
