The colors are nice. I wouldn't consider them pastel as they may appear in the pictures on the box. They're just not neon, like regular highlighters would be. Also it says they don't smear, which is absolutely NOT true. They will still pick up the ink and smear it across the page just like usual.

The tip on the pink highlighter broke off immediately when I used it, but the good thing is this pack includes 2 of each. Also, the pink appears a bit strong and bright, it's not really a soft pastel color but more of a neon color. It's a beautiful color but it does make it a bit more difficult to read what I highlight when I have to highlight more than once. The weaker colors are green, blue and yellow, they're almost invisible, Purple and Orange are perfect and the Pink is the strongest. Overall I'm still keeping them. ... show more
