I study freshwater tutles n the Amazon, these markers are pefect for marking numbers on turtles while the sehll is still wet as you pull them out of the nets. Also wonderful for marking adult turtles so that you can identify them later at a distance when they are basking. The numbers makred on the shell are good for about 4 months. So these are ideal for my work, I discovered these at a car wash at a rentacar place in the LAX ariport, a womqan was wrtiing numbers on the windshields and sending the casrs through the car wsh and the numbers were still on afereterwards. This item is hard to find, I bought it once before and then didn't see it for a year. I use it for things that are hard to keep a label on : ie my garbage cans where sticky letter or numbers fall off or wear away and get you frustrated It's thick and holds up pretty well. (It would not be appropriate for trying to do small lettering.) ... show more
