I had to replace my hair dryer. I took a leap and bought this one. OMG! First, I had to watch youtube videos before using. This thing does a lot more than the normal hair dryer. It is very light weight, yet sturdy AF. This model is great for straight hair. For curly or wavy hair, I would suggest different models. Totally worth the money. I bought one of the pricier models (for wavy/curls) for my niece and she loves it. One CON: It is really loud on full out put. High pitched and painful. However, I can do just fine on the Med. (The first time ever.)

I absolutely love this hair dryer! I have lots of thick hair and it takes a really long time to dry. I found that using the hair dryer with no attachments to get my hair from wet to damp and then using the blow out attachment to dry six sections worked best for me. I can blow out my hair in less than 20 minutes which is unheard of for me! I love how silky my hair gets after a blowout. I'm so happy with my purchase.

I have wanted to try a Shark hair dryer for a long time and was honestly so excited when I finally got one. I bought this for myself as an early Christmas present. I had been wanting to try it forever, and it did not disappoint. This dryer is not huge at all, but it has a lot of power and is very lightweight, which makes it comfortable to hold while using it. One thing I noticed right away is the cord. It is thick, heavy, and feels very durable, which makes the whole dryer feel well made. I also really love all of the accessories that come with it. Having different attachments makes it easy to switch up how I style my hair. The settings on this dryer are great. It does not get overly hot and it does not burn your scalp at all. The heat levels feel very controlled while still drying my hair efficiently, which I really appreciate. There is a bit of a learning curve, but not with the dryer itself. It works great right out of the box and setup is very easy. The learning curve is more about learning how to get that salon-style look. Once you get the hang of it, the results look great. My hair is long and thin, so it did take a little longer to fully dry, but overall I was very happy with how it performed. Functionality is excellent and it works exactly as expected. Ease of use and ease of setup are both perfect. I was especially happy with the value since I got it on sale with all the attachments included. Overall, I am really excited that I finally got this Shark hair dryer and I truly love it. I would definitely recommend it.

I have the Dyson and my daughter loves it, but couldn’t afford it. I have curly hair. She bought this and LOVES it for her straight hair. She loves all the attachments. Lightweight. Not too loud. Will last a long time.

The hair dryer is definitely small and lightweight but packs a lot of heat. I like the black sleek look but I would prefer magnetic attachments although these fit and go on and come off easily locking into place. I have long coarse hair and so far this has definitely reduced drying time. I chose this because I didn’t want to pay the huge price tag of its competitor but I might depending on how this performs. The noise level is kind of loud. If it didn’t cut down my drying time by half it would be an issue. I’m confused about the reviews on the battery pack on the cord because mine doesn’t have that. I was concerned and actually called their customer service to verify. I looked at other photos and reviews and they did have that clunky pro pack midway down the cord but Shark Customer Service said my model number did not. I like the attachments. I use the nozzle to blow dry to about 80 percent and then use the brush and the smoothing attachment. I really like the brush and don’t find it awkward at all. The smoothing attachment works but sometimes I get my hair caught in it but I’ve only used it twice so not a deal breaker. The actual plug that goes into the plug socket is huge. I had to buy an adapter so I could fit it along with my makeup mirror plug. My house is not old so I thought that was odd. I’m not really a big fan of the scalp protector when you change tools. I thought it automatically adapted heat but I have to hold down the button to adjust and then I end up using regular heat because it seems too cool and takes longer. I do have to say that I like how quickly it dries my hair. It definitely makes it smoother and straighter resulting in less flat ironing. My coarse hair looks smoother and shiny. So far I like it but time will tell.

Best blow dryer I’ve ever owned. Drys fine hair fast. The amount of air it blasts is second to none. If you are one to flip hair over and blow dry this is the best. It work great for straight blow drying with the attached brush too. Hair is silky smooth and better than some salons. Highly recommend. Worth the money.

I had high hopes for this dryer and boy was it a massive let down. I have mid-back length hair, and is full. With my current dryer it takes about 15-20 minutes for a full dry. 1. This dryer has a very high pitch sound to it that was borderline deafening. I considered using ear plugs... 2. The dryer blew my hair all over place, causing many tiny knots. When I would attempt to work these knots out with my fingers or a brush, a decent chuck of hair would pull right out. 3. It is not as powerful as I'd expect it to be considering the words "professional" and "high-velocity" are in the title. 4. It took me 10 minutes longer to dry my hair than with my previous dryer. Adding time to my blow dry is not and will not be on any of my bingo cards. 5. The dryer left my hair feeling strange, like straw and lifeless. I appreciate that it was light in weight, but overall this was not right for me and is on its way back. This may work for someone with very short hair. But anything beyond the shoulder, forget it.
