I have wanted to try a Shark hair dryer for a long time and was honestly so excited when I finally got one. I bought this for myself as an early Christmas present. I had been wanting to try it forever, and it did not disappoint. This dryer is not huge at all, but it has a lot of power and is very lightweight, which makes it comfortable to hold while using it. One thing I noticed right away is the cord. It is thick, heavy, and feels very durable, which makes the whole dryer feel well made. I also really love all of the accessories that come with it. Having different attachments makes it easy to switch up how I style my hair. The settings on this dryer are great. It does not get overly hot and it does not burn your scalp at all. The heat levels feel very controlled while still drying my hair efficiently, which I really appreciate. There is a bit of a learning curve, but not with the dryer itself. It works great right out of the box and setup is very easy. The learning curve is more about learning how to get that salon-style look. Once you get the hang of it, the results look great. My hair is long and thin, so it did take a little longer to fully dry, but overall I was very happy with how it performed. Functionality is excellent and it works exactly as expected. Ease of use and ease of setup are both perfect. I was especially happy with the value since I got it on sale with all the attachments included. Overall, I am really excited that I finally got this Shark hair dryer and I truly love it. I would definitely recommend it.

Best blow dryer I’ve ever owned. Drys fine hair fast. The amount of air it blasts is second to none. If you are one to flip hair over and blow dry this is the best. It work great for straight blow drying with the attached brush too. Hair is silky smooth and better than some salons. Highly recommend. Worth the money.

I really wanted to love this blow dryer and did a lot of research on Shark vs. Dyson style blow dryers. Although it works just as good as the Dyson in terms of ease of use and durability, this blow dryer is LOUD. My fiancé and I actually looked up the sound decibels after we got it and found that it’s between 80-87, which can cause potential hearing damage with extended exposure. I have super thick hair and wash it multiple times a week, so it’s probably not great for my little ears. PROS: I love the ion function which prevents damage to roots, my fiancé has dropped it multiple times and it’s durable enough to handle the impact, the frizz attachment actually works amazing and makes my hair so soft, and the multiple heat settings and intensity levels are perfect. If it weren’t for how loud it was, I’d easily give this 5 stars.

I have been thinking about buying a Shark blow dryer for a long time, but didn’t want to pay that much for a blow dryer. I have had other Shark products and always thought I that they were great quality. I just wasn’t sure about upgrading my blow dryer, especially when my $40 one seemed to work for fine. Glad I went for it! It so light, dries my hair super fast and gave me a salon like blow out, which I have never been able to accomplish.

Dries hair in about half the time of our previous dryer. Easy to adjust heat and strength of the blow. Also easy to add and remove the attachments. Especially like the no-frizz attachment (just make sure to read the booklet first so as NOT to attach it upside down on first use!). Cord length also good - long enough to use outside of bathroom where mirrors aren't so close to electric outlets.

I had high hopes for this dryer and boy was it a massive let down. I have mid-back length hair, and is full. With my current dryer it takes about 15-20 minutes for a full dry. 1. This dryer has a very high pitch sound to it that was borderline deafening. I considered using ear plugs... 2. The dryer blew my hair all over place, causing many tiny knots. When I would attempt to work these knots out with my fingers or a brush, a decent chuck of hair would pull right out. 3. It is not as powerful as I'd expect it to be considering the words "professional" and "high-velocity" are in the title. 4. It took me 10 minutes longer to dry my hair than with my previous dryer. Adding time to my blow dry is not and will not be on any of my bingo cards. 5. The dryer left my hair feeling strange, like straw and lifeless. I appreciate that it was light in weight, but overall this was not right for me and is on its way back. This may work for someone with very short hair. But anything beyond the shoulder, forget it.
