I have been using this hair dryer for about a month now and it has seriously cut my drying time in at least half. It is fast, and the folding aspect makes it easier to store. It can get pretty hot but the button in the middle cools down very quickly and there are 3 temperature and fan speed options. It is a very cute and solid hair dryer. It did take me a little bit to get used to folding it. I am a 3B curly hair girl for reference so I honestly have mostly only used the diffuser. This blow dryer is amazing!! I love that it has a separate temp setting and air flow setting. That makes it much more efficient without getting too hot and damaging your hair. I have thick 4C hair and I was able to dry my whole head in about 20 minutes. It's also light, compact and easy to use.

Loved it while it worked but haven’t even had it a year and it stopped working. Wasn’t even used daily just a couple times a week. Disappointed for sure and buyer beware. It powers on only to power off after a minute of use. I am back to using my cheap store bought blow dryer that is well over 2 years but outlasted this expensive model by a long shot. I wish I would have paid better attention to all the others that had this happen. DO NOT BUY you will think you are fine and then be left standing with wet hair trying to get ready for work. ... show more

I bought this hair dryer a year ago and really enjoy using it the 2-3 times I blow dry my hair each week! Previously, I only used standard Conair or Revlon hair dryers, and thought this would be a nice upgrade after receiving multiple Amazon gift cards. It does sound a bit like a jet taking off at first - the sound of the motor is definitely different if you’re used to a traditional hair dryer design. That said, I do think it’s quieter overall! I typically use the concentrator tool with a round brush and truly think it saves time over my old dryer. Lately, I’ve been switching from the concentrator to the quick smooth brush, which leaves me with a nice smooth blowout. I will say that my hair is typically lacking volume when I do this versus my typical round brush method, but it’s quick and easy when I don’t feel like whipping my round brush around! I do like how the iQ feature immediately adjusts fan speed and heat between the tools. That said, I wish this SpeedStyle were compatible with FlexStyle tools, but unfortunately, it’s not. I’ve thought about purchasing a FlexStyle in addition to this, but it feels like a waste of money. I do wish I had a round brush and curling wand features, but will stick with my curling iron for that I guess. For anyone wondering, I haven’t tried any Dyson hair products so can’t do a comparison to those. Overall, the Shark SpeedStyle is a wonderful hair dryer with a few attachment tools if you’re looking to upgrade form a standard hair dryer. ... show more

Amazing dryer with a VERY strong air flow. The straightener attachment works great. Pretty loud though is my only complaint I wish they could dampen that somehow it was somewhere near 87-90db! Dries my hair SO fast tho! Ill just have to wear earplugs. :) Gets really hot but u can also set it low. I found it easier to use than the dyson because their filter was on the handle I kept covering it. A LOT cheaper too! The shark is light as well! My hair was soft after I got the hang of it took me a couple times. Great design. ... show more

I never rate hair dryers. Never. I've paid for far too many and none of them are good and none of them last. This one is the exception. It's amazing. It has power. It has an awesome cold air + high power for hot days. It folds down small. I wish I'd bought a backup at the price I bought it for (at the time of this review, it is $60 more than I paid). Hands down this is best hair dryer I've used in my 58 years of life. I will update this review once the dryer fails but I've been using it for 4 months now and I hope it lasts for years. ... show more
