I had a couple of 1/2 to 3/4 inch gaps in our luxury vinyl plank floor. Due to the grain pattern in the floor boards, a regular light duty suction cup would not attach. I have one of the original Grabos. It works great but is incredibly noisy. It also has a proprietary battery pack. The DeWalt "clone" (made under license from Grabo) is much quieter and uses DeWalt batteries.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered 2 units, both of which are faulty, the vacuum continues to operate and does not reach the lock, no matter which surface I tried, it is supposed to reach 12 bars and stop automatically

Although I am not a certified glazing or tile contractor, I recognize that owning a DEWALT Cordless Suction Lifter is essential for any professional. Recently, a large glass pane in my house broke (top left in the photo), and I needed to replace it. This wasn't the first time this happened to me. Typically, the process involves calling a glazing contractor, who arrives after a few days to take measurements, which are sometimes incorrect, and then you wait several weeks. On the last installation day, I was worried there might be a confrontation, and the cost was $1500, which was disappointing. This time, with the assistance of two friends and the DEWALT Suction Lifter, the task was much smoother, and I managed to save some money. Since I already own a DEWALT battery, the process was straightforward: you turn the machine on, press the green button, and it creates and maintains a vacuum. The large display shows the vacuum level in BAR and won't release if there's a leak. As a test, I placed the machine on the concrete floor in my garage, and the suction was so strong that lifting it was impossible. I also tested it with a large 16-inch by 16-inch tile, and DEWALT's reputation as a leader in the field was confirmed. ... show more

I recently picked up the DEWALT 20V Max Grabo Suction Lifter for my home renovation projects, and it’s been great. I’ve been working with heavy tiles, and this thing has made lifting and moving them so much easier. The grip feels very comfortable and solid and the DEWALT Lifter can handle up to 265 lbs, and it had no problem lifting the heavy tiles I was using for the living room floor. What I really love about it is the built-in pressure sensor that keeps the vacuum grip secure. I didn’t have to worry about losing suction and having a tile drop while moving it into place. The LED screen is super clear and shows you exactly how much pressure it’s holding. There’s an audio alarm that will alert you if the battery is low, so you don’t get caught off guard in the middle of a job. Another huge plus is that it works on rough surfaces. Some of the tiles I was lifting weren’t perfectly smooth, but the Lifter had no issue gripping them securely. The foam-rubber vacuum seal is super durable, and if it ever wears out, it’s easy to swap in a replacement. This tool is powered by the DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, one fully charged battery lasted me all day without needing to recharge. If you’re doing any kind of project that involves heavy materials, I can’t recommend the DEWALT GRABO Lifter enough. It’s made my Living room renovation so much easier, especially with lifting those heavy tiles! My next job will be to change my shower glass door, so this tool will definitely come in handy.     • Very handy tool for picking up flat things

This little tool has been very handy for a drywall installation job I'm doing. It makes carrying and placing sheets much less awkward. It attaches to pretty much anything flat, so I'm actually looking forward to a paver project I'm doing this summer. I doubt it will be nearly as hard picking up and setting the pavers as it was going to be before I ordered this lifter. Overall, this is a quality tool that's very well built. It comes with a charger and battery, which is really nice for me as this is my first Dewalt cordless tool, and I didn't already have either. But it probably won't be the last as I'm pretty impressed with this tools capability. ... show more
