This blender has some key features that appeal to me. First and foremost, the pitcher is made of glass. I also like that it comes with a separate small container for grinding coffee beans. It also comes with a special brush that makes cleaning a breeze. I also appreciate the fact that you can clean the pitcher by filling it with soap and water, rather than having to remove the base/blades (I'm always nervous that I might cut myself). Last night, I'd used this blender to puree some strawberries. Initially, I'd had some trouble getting it to operate. I checked and rechecked to make sure the pitcher was attached correctly to the base and in the locked position (it was). I then gently shook it to help dislodge any fruit that might be jamming the motor. That seemed to do the trick. I've never really encountered this issue with other blenders, but it's too soon to feel discouraged. The controls/speeds are fewer than I've seen, but to be honest, how many do you really need? This blender did a great job of pureeing my strawberries to perfection. It's not the quietest blender I've ever used, but not overly loud either. Again, it's nice that this blender doubles as a dry grinder as well using the separate small container (which also has its own base/blade). The listing price of $32.99 is extremely decent considering the quality, features, and attachments.

Despite being a fellow with very limited talents in the kitchen, this amazing blender has made me feel like I could have taught Julia Child a thing or two. Indeed, all modesty aside, the blender has allowed me to dazzle more than a few friends with fresh and delicious smoothies. However, at a much higher level than my own expertise, my wife and daughter have now used it to make salad dressings, soups, sauces, and some unbelievable coffee shakes. Not only that, but along with all of its endless capabilities in the kitchen, the blender includes a setting for self-cleaning. For that matter, as well as being easy, efficient, and convenient to use, the blender is an excellent value for the price.
