The support slats for the mattress were very difficult for me to affix. I slid the metal bars into both sides of the rails but they are all supposed to have plastic slips to steady them and one the bars were seated I was able to put them on one side but it made it too difficult to apply to the opposite side. So I didn’t. I didnt have help to apply them so maybe I lacked the strength to get that extra leverage and push in the plastic piece but I do use the bed, and it creaks a bit because of those missing pieces but its sturdy anyway. ... show more

I assembled the bed myself, was a one person job. Took me maybe 45min to an hour. The instructions included does not come with wording so you have to line up all of your pieces and figure it out picture by picture. There were a few times I had a few mistakes, the best thing was that it was easy to disassemble a piece and reassemble correctly. I was looking for something that wasn’t too bulky but sturdy enough for a 15yr old. It actually turned out better than we thought! It didn’t take too long to assemble the entire frame, the biggest reason we went with this design was for the storage underneath & it’s perfect with a little bed skirt

Fairly easy to set up with decent instructions, just takes some time. Very sturdy with great construction. No squeaks or wobbles. Perfect for my sons room. A little lower to the ground than traditional beds (I think mostly because there’s no box frame) but still room for storage underneath. Would highly recommend!!! ... show more
