I've been using hard up gel for over 20 years, as it keeps my hair in place but isn't stiff and/or flaky like other gels. I apply it straight out of the shower and my hair looks perfect all day. I have travel bottles that I pump some of the gel into so I can have good looking hair wherever I go. My only complaints are two. First, this size of container used to have a lid you could unscrew to get all of the gel out before moving on to a new jar. They did away with that container, so you really only get most (not all) of the product anymore. Second, over the past couple of years, the price for this size container has risen nearly 50%. I know we've had inflation, but not 50% in two years. Good thing it was at the old price for Prime Day ... I picked up two jars, which should last me for quite some time. ... show more

I am terrified of them stopping making this. I have tried many other hair gels when this is not around and none of them even come close. I've been using this for over a decade and I need it. Nothing works with my hair nearly as well as this. There is no replacement. This review might seem a little extreme but I'm serious. While I really like this gel, the large container with pump leaves room to be desired. As my wife can attest, that last inch can be the difference between a really good morning and a day of disappointment and frustration. I tried it again thinking the first pump just had a defect, and I was unfortunately left wanting again, just like my wife.
