Apparently with the bottle rebrand, they also reformulated and now it smells AWFUL! I’ve been a loyal user for many, many, many years, and after one attempt of trying to style my hair with this rank spray, and then having to catch wafts of it all fat, I literally threw this brand new bottle away and tried a new brand from a local brick and mortar store. To be honest, I have used this product for several years. I've purchased it through Amazon and have always returned here to purchase it again. This is now changing. They have definately changed something when they changed the packaging - the smell. Before, it was a pleasant scent that wasn't overwhelming. It was light and clean. Now it smells as if something went terribly wrong - a little like bug spray, but honestly, most bug spray smells better. Having checked out other stores that sell this, the recent reviews say the same - the scent has ruined this hair spray. Guess I'll have to find a different brand. ... show more

I love this hairspray. It holds my difficult hair in place. Often times my hair doesn't hold a curl for more than an hour. With this product I am able to keep a hair do for a whole day and a half! The best part is that it doesn't leave your hair crunchy. It is a little pricey for me (low maintenance gal) but a little bit of product goes a long way so it will last a while. ... show more

This hairspray is so different from the previous product offered. For one thing , it stinks to high heaven. It literally smells like rotten milk. And when you use it in the morning, it still smells like rotten milk through the whole day. My coworkers even wonder where that smell is coming from. The product is so different from the original, that I wouldn't considerate it the same product. The holding power is not even close to the the original. I don't know what these guys did, but I am in the process of throwing this bottle in the trash. Really, I think I will send it back and make them eat it. . Best hair spray, but using this brand for over 15 years and it doesn’t disappoint. It helps me hold my super straight hair in curls for a few days and smells delicious! I love it and when it’s a good price, I always grab a bottle!

Being a guy I don't want to smell like hairspray but having long curly hair means it's either in my face, wear a cap, tie it back, or deal with it. I've used sprays with good results but even a tiny bit smells a lot more than I was comfortable with. This hairspray barely smells when you spray it and once it's dry, no odor. It took a while to find a product that fills my needs but this did the trick and it's a big can too. Holds great and even after the bonds have been broken (cap or pulling shirts on and off) the hair seems to want to stay in place. If not, a bit of water seems to refresh it.
