My daughter and I love doing arts and crafts together, and she’s been curious about sewing ever since she saw it in a show she watches. I thought this beginner set might be a fun way to let her try sewing in a safe way while still making something useful. The machine is small enough for her to feel like she owns it, and she likes the way it looks. We have created small coin pouches and even cloth bookmarks. Although she is gradually learning how to do both, she primarily assists in guiding the cloth as I operate the pedal. She enjoyed examining the many thread colors, and the kit that came with it provided us with enough to get started. Although it's not the strongest thread, it works for simple practice. It made a difference when we swapped out a few spools for extras we had from another set. The machine has two speeds, and we always use the slower one for her. It gives her more time to focus and keeps things from going off track. I’m glad it’s simple enough that she doesn’t get frustrated using it, but still feels like she’s learning something new. For us, this has been more about spending time together and being creative than making perfect projects. It’s a fun way to introduce sewing without making it feel like a chore.

I bought this machine to teach my 11 year old daughter basic sewing. Its compact size takes up absolutely no space, making it easy to store on a table or tuck away. It's also very easy to use; she was able to power it on and change the thread by herself after just one glance at the instructions. It's a perfect fit for beginners. The functionality exceeded my expectations. The two speed settings are very convenient, the slow speed is safer for the child, while the fast mode allows me to perform simple mending. The sewing results are impeccable, with neat and solid stitches. The double thread design ensures a beautiful, tangle free edge.
