Buyer beware. Only works when USB plugged in. The batteries do not power the machine (yes they are installed properly and the switch is in the battery mode). This seems to be a recurring problem with other buyers and Amazon should address this issue with the seller. This is not as advertised. The on/off button, slow & fast buttons barely work properly. Haven’t decided if I will return this or not because it is a handy machine…but would be much handier and portable if the battery function worked. No instructions so I’m not sure how this passes as an entry level sewing apparatus …. if someone is not familiar with sewing machines how are they supposed to figure this out? Needs instructions for it to be for beginners. The little piece of paper in the box said to go onto the product page for ‘how-to’ videos and then use the link for further info. Videos are of no informational help and I cannot find any link for more how-tos. That being said, this should work for my small tasks of sewing. I hope. ... show more

Does not work with batteries and there is nowhere to use the big spools of thread that are included with it so there’s no point in themincluding them because they can’t be used, returned item
