    • This is a great little system for inspect your drain or HVAC ducts

The media could not be loaded. This setup saved me a lot of money and has paid for itself over and over. I had a french drain on one side of the house that had been not working for a while. I couldn't tell exactly where the issue was. My other french grain on the other side was acting up too. I'm a dyi'er so instead of pay someone to find it for around 500, I thought that this would at least get me close. Well, I went down the downspouts that lead into the french drain and found the issue. My french drain was cut in half and shredded with a wreck of plastic and rocks. The french was damaged due to the cable company laying new cable with a wedge cable layer. I found the issues and fixed them and it costed a little for a new tube and some rocks. On the other side, I found a root ball about 3ft long in the tube( found out after I remove it with my Ridgid 400 drain cleaner). So all the french drains are good to go after a good hydro jet too (bought here too). Then I checked my septic drain field too and it's good too( just remember to wash everything when done). The video is great and clear. If the camera gets into muddy water, just pull it back to clear water and it'll clear up. Just remember it doesn't do 90 degrees, but it can if gradual like 4" drains. Now, video recovery from the disk can be a pain, like media player say it can't video or it's corrupt. Don't worry, just download any player from Cnet or Microsoft (the actual name is any player). I bought this camera inspection system to find a problem in my central vac lines, and it worked great and that was only a two inch pipe. I really like that it has the measurement marks, so you can determine where the problem is. Obviously this is for Sewer, so it's waterproof, my original problem didn't call for waterproof, but long term I plan on using it for sewer problems. ... show more

The head and the connector are very flimsy. I returned one under warranty and the second one is now failing (in under a year and minimal usage). Well priced - but I think you may get what you pay for. Buyer beware! The only good thing is that it came from Amazon - who is always ready to help.

I purchased this item and used it on my property for a bad sewer line. It is easy to use, so I was able to locate my problem and fix it very fast! LED light is bright and the image quality is high. It even has auto-focus, which I find extremely helpful. A box it came in is perfect to protect and store the equipment. Without video inspection, the only way to figure out what’s wrong with your sewer pipes would be to dig down to them directly. Not only is this process slow, costly, and destructive, it also requires a fair amount of trial-and-error.
