Just wanted you to know that the base is very lightweight. I didn’t read that when I ordered it. Assumed (on me) that it was cast iron like my last one. :) love that it’s telescopic.

I couldn’t fit a cone of thread on my machine without having this stand.

Maybe it is the way I am using the cone style thread...the cone moves around too much in the grooved circle. I have tried raising the bar and even tried lowering the bar, adjusting didn't help. Other than this the spool holder does work.

Was easy to put together. Great having the adjustable height. Is nice & stable to not tip or move around. I can easily fold up to take with me to classes or retreats.

This one works perfectly. Had to return another brand, that I ordered first same exactly design (Emboidex brand) quality was horrible, completely unusable, arrived with metal spool that would even fit into the hole, a part missing and zero paperwork. Ordered this one, came the next day, everything complete, perfect fit and works perfectly. It was $2 more, but for better quality, well worth the small extra!

I didn’t realize my older sewing machine couldn’t handle the small cones of thread! It took me a bit to figure out what was wrong and head to Amazon to search for the answer. This little holder really does the trick! It’s small enough that I can store it in my sewing machine case along with my machine. The extension arm is also very helpful to get the thread up to the slots on my machine. Base plastic feels cheap, but I haven’t had it fall over yet.
