5.0 out of 5 stars | UPS Ruins Product Over and Over
I am giving a positive review even though I have not received the entire bench yet. I have a similar Seville Classics bench, and it's wonderful. The products are good, but you need to know this: UPS IS UNABLE TO DELIVER THEM WITHOUT DESTROYING THEM. I received this bench weeks ago. I was able to keep the box of screws and feet, plus one metal piece. Everything else went to the dump. UPS wrecked the wooden top and bent most of the metal. Seville Classics apologized and sent more stuff. This time, the metal bits were okay, but the wooden top was destroyed. I have had to burn two workbench tops. The next one comes tomorrow. I expect UPS to ruin it, too. Don't buy this unless you have time to wait for several deliveries. I am not willing to accept a damaged product, so I will make UPS deliver this a thousand times if I have to.

3.0 out of 5 stars | Really nice workbench at a very fair price, but...
This workbench easily deserves 5 stars. It's sturdy and attractive; you could put in your living room or kitchen as well as the garage or workshop. I gave it 3 stars because the packaging is completely inadequate (much more protection needed on the large top and bottom surfaces). I received the workbench damaged (other reviews have complained about the same thing). The lower brace was badly bent with paint missing. The beautifully finished .maple top was gouged in 3 places. Because of the size and weight (6 feet long and about 140 pounds) returning the workbench was not practical. I've decided to live with the damaged top. The good news is that Seville's customer service is very responsive (no questions asked by a real person who answered the phone). They are sending me a replacement lower brace. Before ordering this workbench (as nice as it is) you should carefully consider the possibility that you'll have to return this difficult to handle package, repair shipping damage yourself, or call Seville customer service and negotiate replacement parts. For me, after all is said and done, I chose to repair damage to the top and ask Seville for a replacement part. I am going to enjoy this workbench, but I'm sorry the experience was marred by the very poor packaging.

4.0 out of 5 stars | Damaged In Shipment But Still Very Nice
Like so many other reviewers, I have to say this is a good bench that isn't well packed and as a result arrived in damaged condition. In my case I could straighten out a lot of the damage with vise grips and a hammer and by standing on one of the parts but the paint is permanently messed up and the wooden top is chipped and scraped and there's no fixing it. I will say FedEx bears half the blame for the way it was mishandled. They completely trashed the carton and then taped it back together with Scotch tape. They called it a "delivery exception", I call it incompetence. The assembly couldn't be easier, everything you need is included even a combination wrench. The hardware is machine bolts and washers that easily thread into pre drilled sleeves with threaded inserts, very easy to do and foolproof. It can be assembled by one person in 15 or 20 minutes. You don't need any tools but I used a ratchet with a 1/2 inch socket just for convenience. Important: hold on to that combination wrench, you'll need it if you want to install the wheels because they use a 14MM threaded bolt and you will be working in a thin space. That stamped wrench is what you need unless you have a big set of metric open-end wrenches. The top is very nice, almost too pretty to be a work bench. It's laminated maple with a urethane finish and looks like a nice butcher block. The metal components are OK, powder coated steel but like I said the finish was damaged in shipment. Too bad. The bench is very strong and stout, the 6 supporting legs seem like they could carry many hundreds of pounds, more than you could ever lift really. You'll never need to worry that it might collapse, it would take more than an engine block to make that happen. The leveling feet are adjustable and give about an inch and a half of travel and you can adjust the height to that degree. I ordered the wheels from Seville Classics and they arrived quickly and were easy to install. I recommend them if you ever want to move this heavy bench. They are 2" wide, one piece wheel, and have the 14M threaded shank which I couldn't find anywhere else. You need two sets because they come in sets of four, but you'll have four locking casters that you can install on each corner leg, two swiveling but non-locking casters in the center and two spares. Worth every penny because otherwise moving the bench is very difficult because of its weight. Go to Seville Classics online and order Item WEB270. All together I'd say this is a good bench but the way it's packaged leaves a lot to be desired. My damage was fixable, but yours might not be. I didn't ask for replacement parts from the seller, it wasn't that bad, but I'm unhappy that it was damaged.

5.0 out of 5 stars | So good I bought a second one
I have not received my second one yet, but I love these tables. I have a biotech lab and use them as work space for that. They are very sturdy and easy to assemble, and also have a very durable surface. Hot things, chemicals, impacts, cuts... All resisted very well. Even though it is so stable and sturdy, when you need to tear it down to move for some reason it comes apart pretty readily. You can get cheaper tables from Uline, but then you pay another $100 in shipping and it's suddenly not a good deal. These tables are a great deal. I'm very pleased with my first one, which is why I just purchased a second one.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Great product. Almost too beautiful.
Amazing workbench and easy to assemble. Heavy and obviously strong enough to absorb a lot of pounding and rough handling. My only complaint would be that the really heavy hardwood top is so beautifully finished that I almost hate to hammer on top of it. Everything arrived in great condition. Be aware that this bench weighs over a hundred pounds. The box is large, and while the packaging certainly protected the product well in transit, it was very awkward for a single person to handle. Mine came by UPS. Think through as to the spot where you want it delivered.

4.0 out of 5 stars | Great product, but expect it to arrive damaged
Great product, but had the same issue as alot of people. Fexex left mine in the driveway leaning against the wall while it was raining. By the time i got home the box was mush and fell apart when i tried to get it inside. I assum it was too heavy for one driver to get to my porch out of the weather. It went together very quick and easy, but the package was obviously dropped , as two of the metal parts are dented and the outside visible edge of the wood table itself. Its still usable, but cost too much to keep with damage and now the box is unusable. Im hoping the manufacturer can send me replacement parts
