I write this with a semi sad face because I have the 3/2 suit and absolutely love it. So much to the fact I literally solicit the suit any chance I can to others . But this suit unfortunately is thicker obviously being a 5/4 mil and when I say snug it’s snug!! I’m an XL through every item of clothing and alternate brand wetsuits I own but this is just beyond the point of restrictive being sooo snug. I went ahead and ordered the 2xl because I really want to love it. O’Neil is an excellent suit. The 2xl didn’t help one bit. I’m sorry O’Neil. I still love you guys but it’s just toooo restrictive. I wanted to help future buyers because I got stuck and had to end up selling on my local ad list with a loss in my pocket. I’m a dive professional and have used several brands throughout the years. I purchase this product for my son for diving purposes under the advice of a coworker. This product performs just as good or better than known big name dive brands. Sizing chart is spot on, it creates a perfect seal around ankles and wrist. The integrated hood is perfect and the front (chest) zipper makes it super easy to vent during surface intervals. Because it is a top zipper it takes a while to get use to putting on/off (some help will be required). It also has an integrated skirt that help seal around shoulders that can make putting arms a bit difficult. Even with all the pointed out challenges, I haven’t dive with a more comfortable and fitted 5mm wetsuit with integrated hood. I’ll be buying the 3mm shorty version for myself ... show more

In spite of the thickness 5/4 it is relatively easy to put on. Once it's on I stay warm for a couple hours. Flexible and comfortable. Definitly would buy another. I am expecing this to last a couple years. Well made. Quality material.

Have so far worn this in surf in the 50s here in Massachusetts and it was warm and comfortable. A little challenging to wrestle into and out of compared to my 3/2, which is the be expected. The neck/hood is a little tight, but not unacceptable.

Wow! Absolutely love this suit. The flexibility in the shoulders and arms is amazing, and even though it’s a 5/4+ it feels as light as my 3/2 O’Neill Epic back zip and is even more comfortable. If you’re a bigger guy looking for a great winter suit this is it, worth every penny.

Coming apart in various spots. Had to spend more money just to cement and patch them to the suit. At the end of the day I could have just bought a better suit with the welds. Little disappointed! Other than that, performing as it should.
