Bought these to use on my router table. Checked each one with a good digital caliper and found they are off by -0.015 inches (worst) to +0.005 inches. Would not recommend for precise work. I have a set of Kreg set up bars and they are dead on. Will need to purchase another Kreg set for precise work.

    • Great bargain set up blocks

I have always wanted a set of these for my wood working garage shop. I have the rectangular bar type set up blocks, which I find very handy to have for many different uses. These blocks go beyond that with multiple areas on the blocks to take measurements from. This set also has angles to set up your table saw blade with. I got the blue set which are etched in multiple locations on each block with white lettering. They are very easy to read due to the contrast of the blue blocks. The etching is not that deep, and therefore may disappear over time. The one complaint is that the box included for storage is just a plastic rectangle with foam to separate the blocks from each other. This to me is junk and I will make a better box to store them in. Not a big deal as I would probably do the same thing if it came in a plastic blow molded box too. I hate those things. I found the accuracy to be pretty good when compared to my other set up blocks, that are also a knock off Chinese set. There were no jagged edges from the manufacturing process, and all blocks were very smooth to the touch. If you're like me and want all the latest gadgets, but don't want to spend the "name brand" money for them, then this is a good alternative. I can recommend this set, just know that you will probably want to store them in something else. ... show more

I've been using these for the past 4 months to setup my table saw. Using these is easier to setup different widths and angles then using the table saws ruler/protractor. The TOVEN-RV Router Table Set Up Bars are well designed and manufactured. The tolerance is well within my needs. Thes set-up bars allow me to make precision cuts. Like most woodworkers the first thing I did when I received these was break out the calipers. To my amazement every one was dead on. I have the name brand expensive ones and they may be etched a little better or some other quirk we may want but for the intended use, and others, these are a great set of setup blocks. Very similar in shape and size and usage the Kreg Precision Router Gauges, but at a third the price. If used for their intended purpose as a router or saw blade height gauge, these blocks work identically to the blocks from that previously mentioned company. The gauges are anodized aluminum and feel smooth and well machined. The set I got was in black with white lettering as I already have a similar imperial and metric setup blocks set in red and blue with white lettering. One thing I will say is on most of the blocks the lettering does stand out a bit more than those other colored blocks. Being able to measure from multiple sides as well as depths make these 'clone' blocks very usable. Two improvements could be made, first is that not all the blocks appear to use the same stroke thickness lettering and numbering. The thinner ones are a bit harder to read. and the case, yes it is small but Kreg and a lot of the other Asian made blocks of this type come in an actual carrying case with die cut foam so you can actually see which blocks are which. Much more portable and easier to put away than just an inexpensive thin plastic box with a built in part of the box hinge. ... show more

    • Excellent for setting bit depth!
These are great setting for router bit height which is my primary purpose for them. Setup blocks make this so much quicker than rulers. As far as comparing these to high-end competition: they are fairly competative for the angle and depth measure. The markings seem variable. Some of the blocks are quite well marked, others less so. They seem fairly true on their a=b=c=d axis for thickness. It seemed like there was a little variability on b axis when comparing edge thickness vs center of mass thickness on the larger blocks. It was extremely minor, but there was no variability when measuring the same axis on my higher-end block set. Given the price difference between the high-end set ($90+) and these ($35), it's no surprise that the case is considerably lower quality. That said, this case is pretty good. It's very small with almost no wasted space, latches securely and looks like it will last if your not beating on it. ... show more
