    • Assembly Instructions are ROUGH, but the End Product is a BIG WOW!!

As mentioned by others before us, the assembly instructions were not useful. Do not ignore this point! The instructions are only a mediocre guide; they are far from what anyone would reasonably call good assembly instructions. If you've had experience assembling racks like we have you will still have trouble. Prior experience shouldn't be a requirement. It's only an important factor because of the deficiencies in the instructions. On the plus side, the unit comes with extra parts, such as spare bolts; however, spares were not supplied for all bolts and washers needed to assemble the rack. Some parts are not shown or even described in the instructions. This left a lot to our imaginations and honestly we still don't know what some of the parts are for. Hahaha! We found a YouTube video that demonstrated the same model of rack but a different size, but the video didn't help that much. Ideally, this is a two-person job. You can get away with one person trying to do it all alone, but it will lead to cursing and swearing. VENTILATION: There are four top-mounted temperature-controlled cooling fans with a digital control panel one is on the front of the rack, just above the door. Yes, the fans can get loud. Yes, it’s not a bad idea to consider using quieter fans, but we didn’t. We wanted to fully experience the fans that were included before making further upgrades and so far the find noise is noticeable, but not overwhelming. This cabinet is in an office environment and none of us find the fan noise, distracting or problematic while on phone or video calls. We didn’t want the cabinet fans exhausting the heat into the office environment, so we installed ductwork above the hanging ceiling tiles and an AC Infinity fan to push heat out exterior building vents. OVERALL: As far as stability of the final product and quality of materials, this rack is top notch and well worth the price. We recommend this rack for people/companies familiar with racks, period. We caution everyone else to strongly consider the additional amount of time YOU WILL SPEND interpreting upside-down pictures in the meager instruction booklet and navigating "trial and error" paths before determining the way parts "should be" assembled. If you or your team is impatient, under a time constraint -- or you have a history of abandoning Ikea furniture projects -- find another rack! Good luck and Godspeed! I bought a SysRacks 37U rack with the 32-inch depth, and overall I’ve been really happy with it. It’s solid, easy to assemble, and has plenty of room for most of my equipment. I do wish I had gone with the 35-inch version, though. I didn’t properly measure my largest server, and it ended up being too big to fit with the 37U vertical cable managers I had also purchased from their website. SysRacks support was awesome about it. They helped me swap the cable managers for other items I could use and even threw in some extras. They were friendly, flexible, and genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with the setup. My advice: measure your largest server carefully and go deeper than you think you need. Having a little extra room is much better than fighting with fitment later. I got a few things to say about this thing. I was a worried about purchasing this rack because i was worried it would not fit my full sized Dell R740xd server. First and foremost the build quality of my unit was immaculate. everything fit as it should and had picture perfect tolerances. Lots of hardware is included, like rack bolts and nuts and a ton of spares if you drop something. It all comes in this great plastic tackle box so everything is clearly findable. +1 to sysracks for that tackle box, what a great choice! assembly took some time. the assembly document was usable. Not the best, and not the worst I have used. but it was clear enough to figure out and get the assembly done with. For my assembly i left 2 spaces in the front two nut holes and the back two nut holes from the front to mount my rack rails. I would recommend you do the same if you buy this system so you have room for your equipment between the front glass and the rear door. my R740 just barley fit. I used the dell ready rails system and it all closes up nicely i would recommend some 90 degree power plugs if you can get them for the equipment side so you can get more door clearance. Mine fit, but i have to have the front of my server ever so slightly out to make room for the plugs out the buck. everything else that's not a full sized fat server fit great! lots of room in the rack to work, there is enough room between the panels and the rack to put sound isolating foam too! TLDR: - if you work in IT you won't have any problems deploying this and using it. You will like the build quality. although there may be a little maneuvering required. -If you don't work in IT it may take a bit to put it together and there will be some lessons learned but it's a great product for it's price poing. ... show more

Rack is phenomenal and just what I was looking for. Sturdy, great features and looks amazing. Expect many boxes during delivery. Only real negative is that instructions are close to horrible on assembly. Had to watch video on the sysracks website which helps add some context but its amusing how different the ordering of assembly it is compared to the instructions. Still worth the purchase though as the rack is very nice. ... show more

The customer support at sysracks is outstanding! A few days after I ordered this, I realized that the internal depth wasn't going to be enough to fit my r630. So I called their customer support and explained the situation. Within 1 hour they shipped me substitute packages to convert the rack from a 32 inch depth to a 39 inch depth. They didn't even charge me anything extra for shipping! Great people at sysracks! I'm very happy with this cabinet. Build quality is outstanding and everything I need. ... show more

This rock needed to be completely assembled and came in multiple boxes. The instructions could be a little especially around the and door mechanisms. The only con that I saw for rack was the front door. When there are switches in the rack the cables that connect to the patch panel and the switches get mashed down by the front door. There isn't enough clearance to handle the switch mounted in the rock and the cables as well ... show more

Very solid case with lots of room. The front and back doors plus the various side doors make server installation and maintenance fairly easy. The bottom of the case also has extra case entries that can be useful depending on your setup. The only real issue I had was during assembly. The instructions need some work as it can be confusing as to which parts you are actually using in each step. Some of the images are also shown in a weird order. As an example, one of the first images shows the case at a later build stage then just putting the initial frame together. The instructions do mention the difference between different sizes of the case which is a plus. Other than that was still fairly easy to assemble, just wish the instructions were a bit better. ... show more
