I love that it is soft when you lie on the bed, it heats up quickly, and has a timer so that it can turn off anywhere from 1-12 hours after you set it. I purchased this heated mattress pad since our room is a bit chilly in the winter but I didn't want to crank up the heat & increase our electric bill. I like that I can turn on just one side or both, & each at different temps. It warms quickly, has a wide range of settings, & offers a timer setting to turn it off after a chosen amount of time.     • Not much of a pad
There is not much padding. The fabric is slightly thicker than a normal fitted sheet. If you think you are getting a mattress pad that is heated... Well, not quite. It is well constructed. Thoughtful extra reinforcement around where the wires poke through. The connectors are located at the corners and don't get in the way. The wires are long enough to set it up in either direction. 2 separate controllers for individualized settings on the king size. The controllers memorize the last settings so you only need to push the one button before going to bed at night. This is helpful since there is not a built-in clock to have it turned on automatically and it also doesn't have a pre-heat function that I read about on other choices. I don’t like getting into a cold bed and this one heats up nicely and I only have it set on 3. The controls have the option of setting how long it should stay on, so I can set it for the length of time I want it to stay heated, which works for me because sometimes I wake up and I’m too hot. The wires aren’t very noticeable, which is good, because I’m like the princess and the pea and I would notice them. All in all this was a great purchase! ... show more

I bought one of these to fit an extra-long twin bed. The one I had finally quit working, and I could not find that brand anywhere. I bought this, and it fits well and works like a dream. I never had to turn it above 2 this Winter. I can highly recommend this product. I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he says it's the best thing he's ever received. He loves pre-warming the bed prior to climbing in on these cold winter nights. It has a timer and several heat settings. Very happy with this purchase.

    • Works great. Many caveats to use.
First, it works very well. It gets so warm I can't raise it above a 2 without being too warm. We had a heat outage in the house and I slept comfy warm. Be aware the controls are clunky. You cannot look at them an know if is on or off. The cord plugs in the bottom but then you run the cord back to the wall to plug it in which is at the head. You are not to tie it up or tuck it in so it lays on the floor waiting to be vacuumed up. Also they say you should unplug it when not in use which is not practical.
