BACK STORY: I purchased this for a futon I keep in my nursery. At first, I used one of the thicker, cotton ones and while that was comfortable for a while, eventually it just got too flat to do anything but serve as a cover. As my babies got a little older and discovered jumping on the bed, they basically ruined some of the supports and springs so it would sag or you'll feel some of the wood frame dig into you. Needless to say, it was uncomfortable and I'd wake up in pain if I slept in it (it's temporary furniture until the kids sleep through the night so I don't want to get rid of it yet) Eventually, I just couldn't take it anymore and looked online until I discovered this topper. I thought given the good reviews and competitive price to other 2 inch ones, I'd give it a try. I HAVE NO REGRETS (so far)! I slep well now and do not wake up in pain or sore anymore (I'll update the review if that ever changes, this will eventually go on the guest bed). Honestly, I wish I got it sooner. ABOUT THE TOPPER: Personally, I do not find it to be hot and neither do my kids when they sneak in (and they do tend to get warm easily). It's comfortable, and soft. If you prefer a firmer topper/mattress, this is probably too soft though. I don't think I would say it's necessarily "cooling" but, as I said before, it doesn't make me hot either. It will retain shape for a little while (a few seconds really) and then it'll slowly go back to normal. Opening there was no unusual or chemical smell; it just smelled like foam, but after leaving it on the bed with the ceiling fan on to vent, even that was gone within a few hours. Definitely pleased with this purchase. UPDATE: The topper has moved to the guest bedroom, and I loved it throughout my use. I have had guests sleep on it and love it as well, so much so that they bought their own (though they opted to get the 3 inch one, which they claim was an upgrade, but only if you like really soft surfaces). I did notice that, though I don't find it to make me or my guests hot, that's most likely due to me having it UNDER a lightly padded mattress protector (less than a half inch thick). Once the mattress protector had to go in the wash, and when it was sheet then pad, it was warm, though not so much that I couldn't sleep or was drenched in sweat.

Bought the product and it was delivered within the time that it said it would be. However, the item never fully expanded. We left it in the guest room like this for nine days. I guess we should’ve just given up after the 48 hours, but we wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t inflate. It was an inconvenience to get it back in the box and go through the returning process. As you can imagine it didn’t fold up easily after you cut it from its bundle. Won’t be buying this brand‘s product again if my first experience is dealing with a defective foam topper.

I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but, since I could bake bread on my current mattress when I wake up from a night's sleep where I was laying, I thought I'd take a chance on it. When lying on it, it does feel warm sometimes. But Nothing like sleeping without it. I would literally wake up sweating. I haven't had one nights uninterrupted sleep due to being too hot since I got this. The only cons I have found, is that it slides around on the bed, especially on the size you get in and out of. I would have purchased the 2 inch, the 3 inch can tend to 'swallow' you. I have an older, plump pup, and, he had a hard time getting up last night 😆 his Roly polley self struggled a little bit, and I myself can feel myself sinking sometimes. But, all in all, the restful sleep I get from the coolness is well worth every penny. I'm glad I didn't have to spend thousands on a new mattress.

Shopped together for this mattress topper. Seemed like the best choice for both of us. Disappointed that the copper is just small flecks, and i’m not convinced it’s presence is in any way beneficial. Instant Backache for me—wholly unexpected! It also felt too warm and even under the bottom sheet and the same mattress pad we’ve used for years, it still felt like sleeping on cheap foam rather than the nice high-end mattress. Partner sleeps more comfortably with it, even though it didn’t totally meet her pre-purchase expectations (she still slides down our intentionally-sloped bed as she moves in her sleep). Without it, the in-theory soft stock mattress surface gave her hip pain. We took this topper back off for several days, just in case my backache was something else, coincidental in timing. Nope: went away very quickly. What to do? We considered returning this topper and getting a different one, but finally decided to cut it in half with a trick: we cut it on an angle, so there’s a taper between my topper-less side and her topper-enhanced side. Saves us the hassle of returning, plus we have a spare.

I have purchased four of these and they are amazing! The cooling effect and the thickness make for a very comfortable sleep, especially if you struggle with pressure points. I bought the first one 3-4 years ago and it is still very comfortable. We also use one on a higher quality air mattress for a serious upgrade and it does not disappoint.
