If you don’t press both buttons, you’re thinking it will not work the switch and then the red button wants those two have been modified as to on. It will come on. In New England, the winters are long. The arrival of spring brought over 3 inches of snow. I want my home to be warm and cozy. My old fireplace insert quit working, so I chose this one as the replacement. There are two levels of heat that come from the top vent of the unit. There are three color combinations of orange, blue, and combo; and there are five levels of brightness. The front of unit display is LED and displays the mode, timer, heat, flame and power. I did not install the app, but I use the LED panel and the remote control. I’m impressed that the tempered glass front remains cool, while I can set the options to create a variety of moods and heat output. It is easy to move with the handles on the side, and it is easy to install. It has a modern look, but that’s better than hauling wood and shoveling ashes any day. I recently purchased the SereneLife fireplace and overall I’m very impressed with both the appearance and functionality. The fireplace has a modern, sleek design that fits beautifully into my living space and gives the room a warm, cozy atmosphere. The flame effects are realistic and adjustable, making it great for ambiance even when the heat is not being used. The heating performance is also surprisingly effective for its size. It warms up the room quickly and operates quietly without being distracting. Setup was fairly straightforward, and the unit itself feels sturdy and well made. I especially liked the different flame brightness settings and the convenience of the remote control. However, I was disappointed that the temperature display screen was missing when the fireplace arrived. Everything else appeared to be packaged properly, but the missing screen was definitely frustrating and made it difficult to fully use all of the temperature-related features right away. For the price, I expected all parts to be included and quality checked before shipping. Despite that issue, the fireplace itself works well and looks great once running. If the missing component issue is resolved through customer service, I would still consider this a very good product overall. Not what was advertised! Listed as having a thermostat that you can set, it is NOT! It is just high or low on or off. I tried contacting the company and received absolutely no response, Sadly some companies just do not care. I would avoid if I were you.

The fireplace is a good substitute for the one in my RV that died. Three things: I had to trim the wood cabinet opening by about 3/8" on each side, as I don't think the specs include the protrusion of the buttonhead screw heads on the sides (should have been countersunk). I also had to drill holes in the outer metal trim so I could screw it to the wood cabinet, as there were none. And the little piece of plastic that holds the button battery in the remote was jammed in and it broke when I finally got it out. After several emails to the company, they don't have a replacement remote, the fireplace is discontinued, and I should call them back in a few months and they'll look again.
