This light mounts close to your ceiling. It is a step up from the typical dome flush mounted ceiling fixtures typically found in the bedroom. I think this would work nicely in a large hallway or bath also. The seller shipped quickly. The item arrived packaged well with no damage. In this bedroom the light was installed on a dimmer. It is bright, but the room will need some additional lighting as well. The light adds a touch of elegance. The crystals are glass. Great value. I will order more of these in the future. ... show more

Really love the low profile of this elegant chandelier (and it's real crystal prisms!). That was the main reason for purchasing this design for over my dining room table. I felt it needed a little color though so i replaced the clear center crystal ball with a green one then added 10 green prisms to the ends of each branch, looking at it further i decided to embellish further with the last 10 green prisms to the center of each branch. The tricky thing is the installation of each branch, you have to tighten the nut on the wiring side and i actually had one of the threaded branch connectors strip, now it wiggles just a bit because there is no way to tighten it completely. It came with replacement crystals in case of damage, but it was so securely packaged i would have been surprised if that happened during shipping. All in all i love it, it fit my dimensional requirements perfectly and has plenty of room to add more prisms if you like it a little fancier, we put it on a dimmer switch and it is perfection. ... show more

I love the style of the light fixture. It puts out a lot if light also. It reflects my personality. I used the fixture in the entrance of my home. It does require an experienced installer. Only because of setting the depth of the mounting screws. It could be a challenge for someone who hasn't done it before. I certainly recommend this fixture.
